The people who do not like our signings remind me of the United fans who celebrate signing Di Maria when he is obviously not the type of player they needed to bring in in order to improve. Wanting profile over logic. We have a very decent, well balanced and nicely deep squad. Not perfect but solid enough for now.

But if Ibe's not ready then Ibe is not ready. Throwing a player in to early can ruin them. I'd prefer him to develop on loan first rather than be chucked in a team to early. For the sake of his and the teams future.
But plenty of scope for him to be involved in cup challenges and sub appearances? More of a learning experience than playing in the Champ..
Only thing that annoys me is why isn't he loaned to a premier league team??? That twat at utd zaha does and I am sure Ibe is better than him. Derby is a good level and we had the relationship with Wisdom from last year, but surely a Swansea/West Brom etc would be happy to have him.
Can't believe the doubt over Moreno. He's one of the biggest left back prospects around at the moment. He's played ONE game against CITY at HOME. He made a mistake yes - but he was pretty decent otherwise. Give him time! Miles ahead of Cissokho and probably Jose.
I think playing first team football week in week out in a competitive league for 9 months is better experience than a few cup games here and there. If we get knocked out of the cups that experience would also completely dissapear.
Even if we progress in the cups, he would still lose game opportunity. If we got far, a stronger team would be fielded when the chance of winning becomes greater. The loan is definitely better for his progression.
swansea is strange.... look at it this way... rodgers has relationship with x and y down there.. didn't exaclty stab anyone in the back and paid well over the odds fro his ladyboy too. so..... why are the swans not knocking on the door for wisdom, ibe, et al.... they could grab 1 or 2 on loan easy. like.... teix is actually wasted in the champ despite his fine start. BUT...... ibe has an issue. he is useless in front of goal so a year in championship might wake him up in that regard... he's good but you can see he's not at the same level as sterling was... sterling was slighter and it was harder but he had a clue. ibe seems to need to learn a few fundamentals ...............
no rhc seems to forget to actually ask concise questions and prob talks about snails and crap when he is catching up.
