I see Remy has turned down our seventeenth offer. We're persistent. Idiotic, but persistent.

Disagree - it'll be Richards or no fcker, and even then only if MYM goes. Definitely no striker.

Aubyemang we should just offer Dortmund £10-£15m

I'm not panicking about scoring goals, yet. Against palace at home on Saturday if we fire blanks I will be.

We have played city where we did pretty well imo and villa away whose defence is not as fragile as people think so we need a real barometer of how we are and a scoreless result on Saturday would confirm that.

We do need a striker but what I've seen of ayoze, rivière and de Jong I think there's goals there, I do think Capella needs to work on his finishing

Not that simple, the player's got to want to be here and I doubt PEA would consider such a massive step down so soon. And as we've seen from the likes of Rhodes/McCormack, you can only imagine what Burnley would want for Ings or Sunderland for Wickham. Might as well just get a pre-contract done for next year, take one on a free.

I'm massively concerned about the goal-scoring potential of our team. At the moment, Gouffran looks like the only player who's going to get into the right areas to score, and we all know he's hit and miss on finishing. He's good for about 7/8 a year if played consistently.

De Jong - will need to be at his best to get 10 goals this year. I reckon it'll be more like 5/6.
    Riviere - Probs about 10.
Perez - will need games to get goals, and I'd say he'll get around 5/6
Cabella - looks like he'll be lucky to notch 3-4 this season
    Sissoko - not a scorer
    Anita - not a scorer
    Colback - not a scorer
CBs - never ****ing score, no matter how much we lump it to them from set-pieces

To be honest, Janmaat has come the ****ing closest!

Honestly, in my opinion, we need Cisse to rediscover those shooting boots, and ****ing sharpish. This set of players didn't look particularly clever in pre-season attacking wise, and it's gone that way thus far. Either a change of system, a miracle, or new player is required. Looking at it objectively, I'd say the change of system is most likely.

We've played alright in it, just severely lack penetration. While we've defended quite well, I think we have to sacrifice a little bit of solidity to win games. We can't draw our way to safety.

Odds update, we've shortened on Welbeck (4/1) and Benteke (6/1), gone further out on Richards (7/4), stayed put on PEA (3/1). Nothing drastically short, though, so I think we're still hugely unlikely to make a move.

Its sickening Mbiwa is off and that useless **** Saylor is still here. He will become the new Shola, a diabolical anchor of no worth whatever but cut slack because he is a local lad. It's enough to vomit one's pelvic bone out in sadness and frustration.

Our fault, though. Rather than act ambitiously and bring in another CB to push him so far away from the first team he HAS to move, we announce that our squad is "full", so he knows he's no more than one injury from game-time and still on a cracking wage. That's the main difference between us and the top 6 or 7, they buy where they need strength and if those down the pecking order don't like it, tough, there's the door.

We should have been looking to offload Mbiwa and Saylor. We then should have used the funds to bring in one top class centre back, and a younger lad who wouldn't see much action. Or just promote Good or Streete to 4th choice. As it is we find ourselves loaning out one and being lumbered with the other. The difficulty with both is nobody is stupid enough to buy them and doesn't want to pick up their wages. The best we have is loaning Mbiwa for 80% (probably less). you might as well say no and keep the useless c**t. The hope either Saylor or Mbiwa learns the art of defending in some miracle like occurence. We are shambolic at times.

Goals wise - nobody can be surprised? We have signed a load of attacking players who have not played in this league. History tells us the vast majority take 6 months to get it. you get the odd one who bucks this trend but rarely. We should have brought in one striker who knew what it was all about. Instead we have to hope Cisse is visited through the night by aliens and reminded he could play football once upon a time.

We've sat on our hands for two windows and this is the consequence.

The real shame is we're likely to sit on our hands again for the next two unless there is a crisis. MA hardly has a track record of spending in successive windows.

I think this is how we operate now. It fits with the theory its about maintaining profits and mid table mediocrity rather than ambition. Could be wrong of course.
