Also as young, talented PSG DMs go. How about Marco Verratti?? My left field Choices for the 3 positions would be CB : Papadopoulos DM : Verratti St : Benzema.
Arseblog are saying that LeEquipe are reporting that we are in talks with PSG for Rabiot & apparently he is a DM.
If Falcao goes to Real then I'm sure Wenger would be interested in Benzema. Would be a very good signing of us. If money was no option personally though I would go.. ST: Cavani DM: Carvalho CB: Hummels but if we are working on a smaller budget.. ST:Huntelarr DM: Carvalho CB: Howedes
Didn't Benzema just sign a new contract or am I thinking of someone else? Either way I'm pretty sure he's not for sale
I'm seriously beginning to think Wenger will launch us woefully short up front into probably the most competitive PL season yet by refusing to buy a striker. Gross negligence in my opinion.
Agaaaaiin. It's weird how Wenger can be soo great at certain things but has MASSIVE glaring holes in his managerial game.
Metro just reporting Madrid have pulled out of Falcao and we're the front runners. Our representatives are apparently in Monaco right now... Hmm... If this seriously comes off I'll wet myself. This is why tabloids are the scourge of me at transfer deadlines.
He hasn't been 'great' for over a decade. It's quite obvious what his weaknesses are compared to other managers. Winning an FA Cup was awesome but doesn't hide those deficiencies.
More on Rabiot: http://www.beinsports.tv/news/title...nsfer-saga/article/19nc6lcyc7jxc13c4qk66r8pq0 Seems a dead cert. Under 20, French, injured, talented and, with only a year left on his contract, probably quite cheap. Only way I'd be more sure would be if he held a dodgy African/French passport!
Totally agree. Unless something happens in the next few days we are going to fall short again. Really a big disappointment after netting Sanchez early on and expecting two or three big ones to follow.
I didn't say he had been great just that he is 'great' at certain things. For example: Spotting talent. Seeing the potential in players and coaching them correctly to achieve it. (Think of Adebayor/Anelka/Ljungeberg/Hleb - tricky players to get the best out of but Wenger manages it) Also his ability to change a players position so he can excel. Those sorts of things are what Wenger still does amazingly well. But his stubbornness in the transfer market and complete lack of tactical adaptability are his biggest weaknesses.
No me neither, looks a very good young talent but definitely not the kind of player we urgently need.
Agree on Rabiot, he won't solve our needs in midfield, it would have been like signing Khedira. I'm sold on the Carvalho hype, personally, never seen him play but everything I read is positive and with the other types of teams that are reportedly interested you have to think there might be some weight behind claims that he is a good player.
