Got a few texts last night after their goal saying bye bye city another one saying thats it for the next 110 years. At full time same texters taking the piss. What is funny is that they dont even follow football 2 are fc fans and 1 is a rovers fan all 3 of them hate city/football with a passion also hate the fact that city are a prem team. We are not talking young lads here they are all in their 50s .
Jealousy. They no doubt hark back to the 1980's when they were two of the top teams in RL and we were in the doldrums. Now we are in the PL and they are both crap they can't stand the fact that we get all the publicity and they get relatively little.
Is that right,? wringing out your dirty laundry as above , makes evry'1 feel a **** load better. thanks for sharing. Dead Intelligent thread.
To be fair, I love seeing Eff Cee lose. And it's not like I support a rival team, I've zero interest in rugby. Its just cos their fans are largely ****s who I had to put up with when growing up and their constant mocking of me as a City fan. Rovers fans really dont seem as bad. Two wrongs feel like they make a right on this occasion.
****s I've seen an Arsenal fan and a Man Utd fan both from Hull laughing at City last night. To be fair the Arsenal fan is a twat anyway I'm playing football with him tonight there might be some rough challenges going in.
This sort of thing baffles me as well, a good friend of mine from Leeds (i worked over there for 15 years) told me how she hated Hull but however liked me - how can you hate a city??? it's just like some on here hate Leeds or Man U. I don't get it at all, i think it's just down to folk being either jealous of others success or just wanting find something or someone to hate
If they are mates...get new ones. If they are colleagues...say "I thought you wasn't interested in football" and move on.
Tell the MU fan...we got further in Europe and the League Cup this season then they did. Tell the arse fan would you support them if they never won anything. Then remind him that for money spent they don't actually win that much. £45m on a german and they only finish 4th FFS
That was the impression I got growing up. The FC fans are mainly ignorant chavs. The Rovers fans are more decent people.
To be honest the most infuriating thing last night was our own fans walking out of the ground after the game, many of them were laughing and joking with their mates as if they were on their way home from the pub. Having just witnessed one of the lowest moments in years I was devastated and silent, as were many others to be fair. It really put into perspective how much more this club means to some people than others.
'You all thought you would go far when in reality you were just making up numbers in the competition. Hilarious that you went crashing out. I don't mind hull city in the scheme of things. It's just their fans, who give united **** at any point they can when in reality they wouldn't be where they are without us.' This was on my facebook feed this morning from a Hull born Man U 'fan', ****er.
^This! I was the most depressed I have ever been leaving a match, I looked around and nobody seemed bothered. I also don't like the 'remember 10/15 years ago look how far we have come' you are only as good as your last season that was then this is now. We slate other teams for pointing out past success Leeds/Forest/Liverpool yet we use our past as a reason to be happy with failure, we have a good team now and should not be happy with going out last night.
