Any reason Hernandez wouldn't get a work permit to join us? Pretty sure I heard Bruce say that his appeal for his work permit was tomorrow in his post match press conference tonight. Made it sound like it could be a problem.
Goes to appeal if the player hasn't played enough international games. Appeal has to show he's going to contribute to the squad...effectively City act as a sort of sponsor to allow him into the country. Same as man work permits I guess in that you have to prove you have a skill to bring into the country. As has already been said, just red tape.
Id heard reports they were hoping to announce it on friday anyway, for all we know, its done and dusted, just waiting for the right time to announce it! Ha as its quite a big transfer for us.....having said this, how long is it you need before he' is eligable to play from signing to game against villa?
What are you talking about, id actually seen a view things on twitter that it was going to be announced on friday, I cant see anything wrong with what ive said, im not saying it is goung to be, idiot! and then said for all we know! Its done and dusted....stop looking fo something that aint there!
Well I guess if we are paying 9M for him he better contribute to the squad! And lets hope the skill he brings into the country is goal scoring. As aside SB said he today he will bring something a little different to the side (he is fond of saying that), lets hope again that the something different is scoring goals, since we seem to have a perennial problem with that.
Just watched the press conference on YouTube, he definitely said appeal tomorrow (Friday) and he'll see how they get on.
Appeal almost always is successful, it just sounds more concerning than it actually is. All a formality.
Probably the best signing hull have made, yetbit concerns you? Please tell us why, this guy is similar to remy, chill out!
As I've said many times, I've seen him play dozens of times. I wouldnt say there was a single likeness to Remy other than he looks a little bit physically similar to him, if you're almost certified blind. Remy is a prolific goalscorer across his career.
Will you please stuff them statists somewhere, prolific goalscorer throughout his career, he hasn't scored many in the last 2 games. Ronaldo didn't score many when he joined man utd, nothing like the 40 odd goals he scores now. once a player joins a new club, those things go out of the wkndow. Look at charlie austin, gary hooper, van wolfswinkel, negredo....all topscoers once upon time!
I thought he was Italian................... last time I checked, Italy was in Europe... Due to that fact, as well as UK being in EU. I am pretty sure that he has the freedom to work where he wants. So what is all this bollocks about a work permit? oh he's Uruguayan? makes sense!
Right, so basically your view is whoever we are about to sign in the future we should have no discussion whatsoever if we perceive the signing to be any good or not because 'once a player joins a new club, those things go out of the wkndow'. You just killed about 90% of all future threads on here or any football fans forum.
