Devastated to be out and pissed off at the fans saying "we can concentrate on the league" no ****ing ambition from some of our fans. 110 years to get here and we went out without a wimper. Getting to the group stages wouldn't have made any difference to our season, we have the numbers for it. We played utter **** tonight and Bruce got it totally wrong with his team selection for the two legs. Absolutely gutted.
I don't like to see us lose in any competition and it always takes me days to get over it, i was very disappointed in the way we gave the ball away and for me our forward line was non existent. I thought there number 20 was outstanding i watched him closely very good player who never gave the ball away. Any way gutted we are out but if it had meant picking up more injuries or affecting our premier league survival through tired legs then for me premiership football is number one all the way although i don,t see why we could not have coped with both although as we all know many teams have struggled trying to do it
no one said anything about wanting us out, slitting our wrists over going out is a little pessimistic! saying that we can concentrate on the league is putting the best spin on a bad situation. whoever isnt gutted, isnt a real city fan
well pissed off..nothing in football beats a good cup match, its more fun than just trying to finish one place above relegation in the epl !
It's a spin we here to often with various clubs though isn't it Where's the ambition if the cups aren't arnt taken seriously I just don't get it
If I had to watch another game in Europe this season with a ref like the one we had tonight I'd have to slot him one. We'll be back in Europe some day wiser from the experience. Finish further up the league this season and get some more money and keep building.
True I agree I expect a big push at the League cup Win three games and into the semis Won't hold my breath though !!!
too much emphasis on the bloody PL, some are trying to find positives but 6 extra games against good opposition would have been excellent for fans & players. Being tired is a poor excuse. If Bruce wanted to win this match he starts Huddlestone
Think it's crazy being happy to go out. Just driven 120 miles to watch this and didn't do that to be happy for us to go out. Supported City for 30 years and never dreamed of seeing Premier League (Division 1) football (except for Burnley away) let alone europe so am gutted we have gone out. For me; would have been happy with the group stages and would certainly have risked a stronger team with only Villa before the International break. Brucey clearly picked teams over the 2 legs which he thought would be good enough and but for a mistake by McGregor in the first leg - he'd have been right. Personally think picking Jellavic from the start would have made the difference - we needed 2 goals and to me he was our best chance of getting them. Anyway; nowt we can do about it now - enjoyed the short journey - on with the league which we've started quite well.
