Why isn't it worth the risk? Why are Stoke or Villa worth the risk?

Every point matters because every place we finish higher up in the league means more investment in the players and the club.

    For some it's money
For others they've bought into the mentality that the cups don't matter
Look at the FA Cup quarter

Nobody is happy to be knocked out and the Europa league is a lesser competition , the premier league is the big cash cow , realistically we was never going to win it , and let's not forget he won the game like I said blame mcgregor he gifted them the advantage

    Very True..

With lots of teams seeming to not be that bothered about the league cup I would love
Hull City to really go all out and try to get to the final .

    To what end?

What's the point in investment and finishing higher up the league if we don't want to eventually get into Europe?

Who says it's a lesser competition? When was this decided?

It wasn't a lesser competition for Lokeren; I'm sure they don't celebrate like that every week.

I actually think bruce has been very good here, hes fielded a team that if they were to go into europe, would of had to play in europe.....but he's shown just how thin the squad currently is from this perfrmance, we were very poor tonight!....im not saying they were better, but their league isnt as physically demanding as the premier league so may only have to make the odd change. I dont think the whole squad is at this level yet, as its too thin in many areas. Our time may come again as we keep on building!

All tonight missed was Huddlestone, and just goes to show how much we miss him when he doesn't play. If we had him in mid field tonight we would be through now.

News flash we wasn't going to win the Europa league , and seen as how being in the premier league is enabling us to sign top players I know which one I would of sooner we was still in .

Our attack was utter ****e same as it was last week when we rested both strikers. I agree we didn't do brilliantly well in the midfield area but Sagbo and Aluko between them achieved absolutely **** all tonight. I feel a bit sorry for Aluko because he was so much better last week playing on the wing, and he got put back in his usual ineffective role where he just gets crowded out with his back to goal.

We won!!!! Bruce made it clear that number one priority is prem survival and so it should always be
Why didn't you want bruce shot for rotating the squad in last seasons cup run???
    Our euro record is

    Wins 2
    Draw 1
    Lost 1

Get a grip of a cold beer

The Premier League is what keeps the club high. Yes, it might be boring finishing 15th every ****ing season, but it is much more beneficial to the club than a few games in Europe for half a season. The people involved in the club want what is best FOR THE CLUB, which to most owners, is being in the Prem.

People need to remember that they aren't in charge and what they want isn't necessarily what the club thinks is best.

Our club thinks changing its name is best. They aren't necessarily always right.

Because realistically every manager in our position will ear mark games as ones that we should/ could win or take points from had we started poorly this season we could of been in big trouble , again we won the game blame the keeper
