Never said he was on the same level of those players or that he will be a star player, but he's a good prospect for us. Not everyone hits their prime early in their life.

As a ROI supporter I can only laugh cos you're going backwards but on the same day ROI want Shay Given back in our fold fs I want Groundhog day watching the World Cup in Dublin,Galway and Portugal, can't deal with reality at the moment!

It was a suprise but there's been worse called up like that fella several years ago who played for boro

fair play though he's got his chance. he's never going to be a world beater but he's one of those who gets on with the job and does it well albeit quietly but affectively

I was worried before on the level of expectation being placed on Colback, this is probably the worst thing that could have happened to him

OH that the quality of the Newcastle team could go back to the time when not one Sunderland player would get his place

Considering the covetous nature of a lot of the people on this forum regarding Sunderland players I think they felt a moral responsibility

Well done Jack but I'm been honest here. Out of a 2 Man central midfield us Sunderland fans have always rated Catts much higher. Catts only downfall is his reputation.

On a side note remember when Lee Clarke signed for us and got an England call up on the same day???

I just think its a shame that someone like Lee Cattermole will never get the opportunity to play for Alan Pardew and be moulded by Alan into an England International. Cattermole must be so envious of Jack, having seen such an improvement in less than three months.

This is why I never venture on thes boards. You lot really are a deluded bunch. I'll look forward to watching your posts once you realise Jack can't tackle, scores 2 goals a season at max and hardly ever makes a forward pass.

Well I believed you! But that's because I know you are the one true Messiah! And I should know, I've followed a few.
