Biggest memory for me is the fact we won against Trencin, and the feeling around the City was amazing. Tonight was dissapointing, yes, but we've seen Hull City in Europe - surely that's something to be ****ing proud as hell of?
Gutted. Sat in a car in the traffic on Walton Street and the entire place is subdued. But fun while it lasted. On with the PL.
No big deal. Still think we need more firepower and another centre back, Apparently David a Burns tweeted tonights score three days ago.. Hardly surprising given his vision of how to put the local side down but wtf ?
Gutted. I could take us bombing out of the group Stages but we should of got there at least. How can you watch their fans celebrating and not feel like ****.
On with pl !! You make the numbers up along with the other 14 teams out with the top six . I came on this board last year and got slated saying Samaras was too good for Hull , he proved himself against the top clubs in the world in the Champions league , your club has been found out and not even qualified for the Europa cup. Now you might admit european football isn't as easy as you thought and if your top clubs had to rely on English players not one of them would be in the Champions league .
Tut tut. Sure I heard one of your fans on SSN saying that "Celtic are a big club, we deserve to be in the Champions league because of that." We Hull City fans are overjoyed that we were even in the Europa LEAGUE (not cup), and are gutted we're out. At least we didn't get destroyed 6-1, at least City put up a fight.
Oh great And hull city should still be in Europe had we done the basics and kept golf of the ball and shown more creativity. Going out and playing ****e is what gets to me had we played well and still gone out then fairenough
Feel sick after that. Get to the group stage! Get 6 guaranteed games possibly one against a big team, then it doesn't matter how we do we made it into Europe. This feels like if we had lost the semi final at wembley it's almost cheating yourself into thinking you've made it but you haven't quite. If we became a team like Stoke or to an extent Newcastle where every season is not quite Europa league place but no chance of relegation I would stop going what is the point? The buzz of the games would die. This was a great opportunity and we blew it and I can put it down to 2 words . . . AWAY GOAL. We played our 'weaker team' away from home after the warning that Trencin gave us about how important it was.
Why can't we vote for Scottish devolution? We'd only need one box to tick! We could have the YES box already filled in so we don't waste any pencils on the c#nts
Got to be gutted after that result. Any eleven we have should have won that with the only caveat being that we need to score goals; it's a simple thing, really, score more goals than them. We know the problem yet so many find fault with spending to get a goalscorer. Bruce will now be more determined to bring in quality and attack the cups as well as the PL. Time to move on.
Sickening. I don't understand how anyone can be content with going out. I'd honestly rather we got relegated than knocked out tonight.
What gets me is if SB wasn't that bothered then why put the big guns on to chase it? Surely you start them and bring them off?
