    Great penalty to be fair.
About the most sensible thing Clarke Carlisle has said this evening

Do we let Kane take this one, too?

No, it's Townsend. Let's face it, it's a rational decision.

"Looks like we've found something you're good at!"

    Side netting. Very nice.

The cliche is "play within yourself." It describes what Townsend doesn't do perfectly. "Let the game come to you," etc. etc.

Townsend is not playing the percentage game.
Either he reverts back to playing like exactly 12 months ago, or he'll need a <standard>
injury plague before he gets a PL start.

Sandro / Paulinho / Vlad have put a shift in tonight. Think Holtby should now be on as sub.

Alright Clarke we are 5-1 up! It's not like we can't take a few risks now!

Might be an idea to take Kaboul off and stick Veljkovic or Dier on. Rest him for the weekend.

Question for everyone, has anyone done enough to get in the team for Sunday? (Lloris and Kaboul aside as they will probably start anyway). And who would they replace?

Remember we where pretty good in the Europa league early stages under AVB and Soldado scored a hat trick in the Europa league but its always nice to see us beat these teams.

If all these "not good enough for Spurs now" players continue to play like this all season,
the squad will be in great shape on all fronts.

Agreed. "Looks like the first Tottenham substitution is looming." Kaboul would be my pick as well.

Holtby's coming on! (Happy because I hope it means he's not moving...)

Limassol have been a far better test over this tie than all of the Europa teams were prior
to the KO stages last season.

Not for me. Sandro and Dembele have both been very good, but Capoue and Bentaleb have done very well in the league, so far.
Some encouraging performances, but I wouldn't want to leave anyone out from last week's win.

Don't change a winning game. Last week's starters earned a repeat performance.

But I agree Sandro and Dembele looked very strong. Dembele did pass forward quickly a bit, but needs to do it more often, I think, as far as Pochettino is concerned. But against the top teams (Man City, Chelsea) they might be excellent picks.

Too ambitious from Kane, but impressive nonetheless.

Bentaleb must be one of the first names on the team-sheet, I know we have mentioned this before but the character he has shown amid all the abuse he got last year and to now be such an important player is fantastic, especially as he gives hope to our academy players.

Sandro replaced by Holtby? Er, ok.
Really good run out for the Brazilian tonight. Not quite back to 100%, but he played very well and put in some really crunching tackles.

I agree with you both. I hope that we do keep this squad though it looks really promising.when Holtby is pretty much 3rd choice it shows great strength in depth.

Good to see that we're still trying to score more goals. Would be very easy to just take our foot off the gas.

Bentaleb had a great World Cup as well. It's really nice to see one of the academy players come through as you say Boss.

I'm hoping Hull Hotspurs can get a late goal. 2-2on aggregate as things stand.
