    Current odds on Charlton

Worst odds on relegation 4/1 with betfair.... 9/2 or 5/1 with the big three
Best odds on promotion 14/1 with Ladbrokes and Willy Hills
Best odds on Champions 50/1 with Stan James ..... 40/1 or 33/1 with the big three
Top Goalscorer.. Vetokele 50/1 with bet365 or BetVictor.... 40/1 or 33/1 with big three..... Georgie T is 66/1 with Corals

If you think Charlton are going to do well this season then the best bet will be Igor as top goalscorer at 50/1 because if we keep our form up all season then Igor will score 25+ goals.

Other bets... assuming the Watford guy doesn't walk and Magath gets Fulham playing football then Hockaday at 8/1 at Leeds seems a hell of a price....

    Saturday odds,,,

Charlton 13/5 (bet365) is disappearing fast and I doubt that it will be available tomorrow.. 50% of bets are taking the 13/5
Udders 5/4 is widely available and my feeling is that you may be able to get 6/4 tomorrow so bookies cab balance their books
Draw 5/2 available but 23/10 more common

For me the 13/5 are just too good to ignore but my head says 5/2 for the draw .... the 15's for a 2-2 draw also look tempting.???? So Igor as first goalscorer and a 2-2 draw at 111/1 will return me £112 on my £1 punt bet.

    Hope this helps

    <cheers>

Igor at 50 has moved from 66's if I remember correctly, but definitely worth a conservative £2 stake.

    Worth a punt.

I've been trying to find the odds on line for Steve McLaren to not last the season at Derby?

Drop in at a bookies kish, they will call it in. I'd be surprised if you got above 16/20. I'd offer 8/12's as his stock has risen significantly.

I should have specified I meant sacked or resigned, not headhunted.

Anyway my continuous bet that I will place every home game this season will be Bikey first goalscorer, I think it was 25/1 the other day.

Sacked would be higher, resignation or poached would be the same I imagine.

But due to the turnover of staff in the championship I'd be surprised if you ever got higher than 20. History will tell the bookies no manager is safe.

A better bet would be Felix magath to be sacked before 10 games, especially since 3 have been played. Bit again, you'd need to call it in <ok>

    Guys,

Have you got the Oddschecker app on your iphones/pads ? . If not, it is an essential tool and worth getting. I use it every day. It doesn't just help you when you want to know what to back, and at what price, it also helps you when you want to sell.

    This week for instance...

Tim Sherwood moved from 5/4 to 1/10 on the checker for next Palace manager. I also laid out about £150 in ante post Championship bets, unwisely putting Fulham in to win the league :( Having seen the way the market has moved against the Cottagers this week, I got rid of my liability on Betfair.

I am off to Huddersfield today.

Anybody else who lumped on Hockaday at 8/1 feel free to buy me a pulled pork bun next time I'm down the Valley :D

I have been reading this thread and have not got a clue what you lot are on about. I thought I was onto something with this pulled pork bun reference but I thought it was a bit like a Dvda type deal but not so.

This gambling lark never appeals to me I might play the fruit machine in the pub to avoid talking to the wife but even when you win you still are marginally financially better off - your life is still the same and you have to buy a prawn cocktail with the winnings anyway. where's the rush? Sorry just don't see the buzz.

Then again I think formula 1 is tedious.

But winning that sort of money is a false economy. I am not saying 2k is not a nice earner, but the fear, the inner turmoil, the self hatred, is it worth it? I won 1000 dollars in Vegas on a stag weekend, I am not sure how I did it but everyone expected me to pay for everything that night, so when you win you lose, in fact I lost my 400 watch that night in Glitter Gultch I am sure it is in Airforce Annie's bottom but you don't like to ask.

Anyone who takes that job is crazy. And Cellino will find himself having to pay more than 10k settlement if he hires a manager of their calibre.

Oscar Garcia and Grayson are now the favourites.

Hudderfield job - reliably informed that Chris Powell was interviewed, and bombed.
