The continued snubbing of Swansea's English players would seem to indicate he isn't...

Does Roy Hodgson know Wales exists? If not, it's possibly the only explanation for calling up Andros Townsend, Fabian Delph & Jack Colback to his latest England squad, but not considering Jonjo Shelvey, who had six goals and six assists last season - one more assist and the same amount of goals that Delph, Townsend & Colback managed combined. Most Swans fans have long since given up on seeing Leon Britton getting the cap he so thoroughly deserves, but it now seems that anyone else hailing from East of the border who comes to play their football at the Liberty may as well leave their international aspirations behind.

It is so painfully obvious to most that Hodgson is so far from the right man for the job, that I'm starting to wonder whether he's being kept on deliberately because he's so bad at his job. I saw an interesting stat the other day showing that Harry Redknapp & Roy Hodgson have won one major trophy between them (Redknapp won the FA Cup), and these were the two guys supposedly fighting it out for the job before Woy was appointed? Seems about right.

I probably shouldn't care so much being Welsh, but you've really got to feel for some of the Swans. Leon, Routledge, Dyer & Jonjo can all now count themselves unlucky to have missed England squads during their time here, and until the outdated England setup changes I'm sad to say I can't see it changing. Fingers crossed Roy gets the boot soon and they get in someone who knows what they're doing. For our English lad's sake.

Andros Townsend, for Pete's sake! - Scotty- The Swansea way

Thought I'd put up Scott's view on this subject, as it's something that I have thought of numerous times...............<ok>

Mate he has had a thing about Swansea for a while and has never had a good word to say about us. This goes back to us Playing his Fulham in the cup and giving them a scare. To us beating his WBA side.

I have a feeling that he doesnt like a welsh side in the PL and therfore will not consider any English players with us. I have no doubt if Cappello was still manager or Rednapp had taken over we would have had some caps by now. Woy looks like a dodery old fool who is out on day release.

Hard to disagree. Unfortunately it has a direct effect in that players who are considering coming here may have second thoughts in the future.

Can't understand why Dyer and especially Routledge haen't been called up at some point. Shelvey has had U21 caps I think but needs to be more consistent at international level.

Roy Hodgson is a w**ker. I hope England keep him in the job for the next 10 years.

It's disgraceful that Routs, Dyer and Leon have never had full caps.
Jonjo too should be in the squad.

I am Welsh and will always support Wales but because the team I have supported for 56 years has played in the football league and now in the Premier League I have always been interested in England. I am always pleased, no matter what the nationality, when one of our players gets a cap. However I get the distinct impression that Roy Hodgson is a little Englander. The type that in history was happy to see Irish, Scots and Welsh lads go and fight their wars for them. The point about English players being reluctant to come here is well made.

I seem to recall you lot were moaning when Grant Holt was being continually overlooked.

Anyway, get back to your lower league board - you'll get a nose bleed at this height!

Holt was too old to start playing for England like Lambert is ,serious question do you actually want England to do well being Welsh?.

I think a couple of players have earned a England call up over the last couple of years. As mentioned Dyer, Routs, Leon & Shelvey have all deserved a call ups.

Problem again as mentioned I think Hodgson has a chip on his shoulder about us. Anyway under his guidance England will go nowhere, he's set them back years. I see them only tumbling down the world rankings.

Seems weird that fans that normally celebrate England losing get all stroppy if their own players don't get picked for the team they hate.

You people are weird you hate England and hope we crash out of tournaments like we always do but start crying if uncle Roy doesn't fancy your average players.
Surely its better for you if they don't travel and risk injury whilst playing for your bitter enemies .
Since Gary Speed left his post you lot have become a team that would struggle to beat The Channel Islands so you can't really say anything about our ****ty side.

Given that I was at Wembley on 30th July 1966, I think that answers your question! <cheers>
