Southampton fan in peace! I wasn't too sure where to put this post, but this seemed a good place to start. I was wondering if anyone knows around about how much tickets will be to the League cup game on the 23rd? Haven't visited the Emirates yet and guessed this may be a good chance. Any help would be appreciated
It will most probably be 5,000.We did give one club 9,000 last season but unfortunately their fans couldn't/wouldn't behave themselves so the police and local council refused to allow us to give the 9,000 allocation to teams we played in cup matches later in the season
This is a dog ****e excuse UIR. Your club is a multi billion pound organisation with some of the best facilities in the world. You have a superb youth academy and you got trounced by a league 1 side. You have players on weekly wages that some of those league 1 players earn in a year. Nothing will hide the fact that your team is now full of gutless primo's. Most of your squad are just there for a pay day and nothing else.
I have to say though. Watching United over the last year or so has really made me realise just how incredible Alex Ferguson was (it pains me to say) The team he last won the league with is pretty damn weak. Under most 'top' managers that team would have been fighting for a Champions league place at best.
I see the spuds have been drawn to play Besiktas , will be interesting to see how they get on against them .
no different to the usual waffle im sure. we are all use to that . There are no young boys to beat now . If they progress out of that group , they will need to earn it.
United's current squad cost approx £60m more than city's current squad (who are the closest to them in terms of cost). £400m their squad is. It was the highest even before they bought Di Maria. Awful.
If that is from this site http://www.sportskeeda.com/football/manchester-united-most-expensive-squad-premier-league-history i would love to see the 25 man squad and prices for each. They have Citys "squad" being worth £24 mil less than last year after spending £51.5 mil on new players and only ditching £26 mils worth. Depreciation hits hard i guess.
Just totted it up and without Di Maria (and Nani + Zaha on loan) i make it £335.5 mil for 37 players available to the squad.
This is a good resource to work out different clubs spending http://www.transferleague.co.uk/premiership-transfers/manchester-united-transfers.html
It looks like United need to spend another £200 million to get in some decent players as they are ****e
