We don't have any England players in the team now Ruddy has been binned and i hate most of the English side , Rooney as captain for gods sake .

He must be terrified coming up against Jack Colback.

Can someone justify Jack Colback's inclusion in the England team?

I thought Lampard and Gerrard's timing of their retirement was spot on, until I saw Delph and Colback made the team. I would keep Gerrard and Lampard until their 50 instead of putting them two in, certainly Colback anyway.

Awful is Hodgson trying to create a team full of Milners?

**** we don't actually have anyone in the central midfield with a decent pass especially if Benson & Hedges gets injured.

To be fair, I think Milner gets a lot more stick than he should. He works hard and is pretty creative. I'd have rather we started him than Rooney during the world cup.

Milner against Bayern last year was superb he can be a great driving force for a team, its just rarely seen as he often plays out of position or given very rigid instructions because he's perceived as a utility player.

Milner is one of the most under rated players in England, by England fans at least, in my experience. He has a tireless work rate and has plenty of quality to match. He is good enough that he can play pretty much any position. He's one of those players that you'd always want in your team.

Completely agree. Too slow to catch a cold, can't tackle fairly, can't take on a player in a one v one situation, turning circle of a battleship and takes 3 touches to get the ball under control but as he has the engine to chug up and down the wing all day some fans rate him.

While I see your point, you're not highlighting any of his good aspects. Pellegrini and Hodgson clearly see him as a very good player and I rate their opinion more highly than anyone's on here, my own included.

I just don't get the criticism of Rooney at the World Cup, he was our best player who scored one and made the other of our two goals. Ok, he didn't set the tournament alight, but neither did many of the so called World Class players on show (Ronaldo, Aguero, Hazard etc) and I can't name a single England player who had a better tournament.

I don't get the criticism of the decision to make him captain either, it was the obvious choice if only for the reason that there were absolutely no other possible contenders.
