I don't think this has ever been on. Think folk are taking it as genuine as it's so close to the end of the window. His agent is his father and he claims he's knows nothing about any of this. I suspect it's just a decoy help land the celtic lad.

Black Cats boss Gus Poyet has offered to take the former Ajax star on loan, with the option to make the deal permanent in a year’s time.

Now the Tyneside club have to sort out personal terms with the player, in which Alderweireld will have the final say whether he makes the Premier League switch or continue fighting for a place with the La Liga champions.
