I suppose the answer to that one comes down to Budget Spanish. We let go of our European scout due to cost cutting several years ago. When GOD was here he claimed scouting Holland was just as easy as scouting London due to the proximity and ease of travelling there. When was the last international transfer? Gone are the days when we seem to pick up unknowns who will drop straight into the team. Scotland with so little cash in the game north of the border is ripe for picking and Eastern Europe Im sure could be a worthwhile option. What nobody at our club seems to be able to grasp is that paying decent money for a scout means you can save and make literally millions in the long run.

While targeting lower-league players can produce uncut diamonds and some talented footballers, most of these players would be under contract at their existing clubs and therefore demand a transfer fee. At this point in time, we don't have the spending power to bring in those calibre of players, regardless of the potential resale value, unless they are released from the club.

Like I said earlier I am just bored with the whole sorry mess!

I have been watching Town since 1973/74 and I have experienced bad times but my patience has finally run out. I wont be going to any more matches this season. If the club cant be bothered then I think well why the hell should I? The Crawley game was the one that gutted me the most!

But why cant we Nuggets? I not asking for the earth but why cant we even scrape together a fairly pitiful 500k a season? we are not that small are we? if we cant (and I mean cant rather than wont) then we are in the brown stuff in a serious way IMHO

We should be able to tractor bhoy, but based on what Evans and the board have been doing over the past two years, it doesn't look like they have much appetite for spending money. I hope we make a couple of permanent signings before the window closes. I'm not expecting millions of quid being spent but, like you said, just a few £250-500k signings to improve the squad. We can't go back to the Jewell days relying on loans.

No Johnnywarksmoustache, I don't believe it's just down to FFP. We have one of, if not the most, expensive ticketing prices in the division. Under MM, we have dramatically cut the wage bill, we have not spent more than £100,000 on a player since the summer of 2012, and we have signed a new sponsorship deal with Adidas. I think the club could afford to sign a few players on a permanent transfer from other clubs. But then I don't know the full extent and implications of the largesse spent when Roy Keane and Paul Jewell were in charge. We're also in a lot of debt.

No, I think we could have the cash to spend but I believe Evans has given up on the club. He'd be content to sell the club for a decent price and reclaim the money the club owe him.

As I have stated about 100 times we're paying the penalty for Jewell/ keane.

Would the grass be greener if we sacked Mick? No. End of. It doesn't matter who we have incharge right now as the investment clearly isn't there.

" I wont be going to any more matches this season. "

Warky - stop being a woman with comments like " I'm never drinking again..... " Of course you'll be going again this season!

So the only conclusion that we can draw is that Evans is the real problem here! <ok>

Surely what we are all saying is that we are all Town supporters and have been since long before the present regime and will be long after it changes, MMs had no money to play with since he got here and has had to make do mainly with what hes got
It comes back to the ME question again, he must be aware of the fans frustrations which will result in falling attendances yet he wont fund his management teams budget to get new better quality players in, so what do you want Evans? Do you want to piss the manager and fans off to such an extent that everyone says sod it I dont need this, because if you do wont be able give your Club away let alone sell it.
So come on ME show the fans who were here long before you arrived and will be here long after youve gone some respect, back your man with some cash and stop hiding behind this Financial Fair Play nonsense.
