Which forces by-election and probably likely to regain MP status under UKIP having won his constituency over by 12,000 votes.

Do we have a new face of Conservatism?

David Cameron just isn't trusted and the current Govt has suffered from it's Libdemititus virus and if they are to combat the UKIP machine and a luke warm assault from Red Labour they need a new leader, Boris Johnson would be the best fit in order to keep ahead.

    Thoughts ladies and gents?

The man's clearly an attention-whore. There was no need to force a by-election. He could have just waited till the general election which isn't too far away.

It's time to form a resistance movement.

Personally, I don't see the issue with UKIP nor any other political movement.

UKIP is a by-product of 30 years of politicians ignoring legitimate concerns from the electorate.

A Federal EU is not what the the UK signed up for and further integration is definitely not what the UK electorate want.

The EU needs reformed, not removed. First thing up take the farm subsidies off those frogs.

If Nigel Farage wants to bring UKIP to the forefront properly he's got to reach out to old-Labour voters too and I think that'd be more challenging.

If by reform you mean limit it's influence on the countries inside it then I agree.

That's a lovely soup, although it can be a bit heavy.

    You cave soups any time.

One of my favourites is French Onion.

They are demanding an immediate, five-year freeze on the permanent settlement of immigrants, an end to uncontrolled immigration from the EU, an annual limit of 50,000 migrants, a three-fold increase in the number of staff patrolling national borders, the expulsion of illegal immigrants, an end to benefits for settled migrants, the repeal of the Human Rights Act, withdrawal from the European Convention on Human Rights, and an end to 'the active promotion of the doctrine of multiculturalism by local and national government and all publicly funded bodies'.

Which part do you think the old-Labour Trade Unionists will like most?

I wonder if French Onion soup is popular in France.

    What do you think?

You may well have a point there.

Although in Scotchland we refer to it as "scotch broth"

It's amazing how much debates soups can raise.

    Fascinating really.

Pull out of the EU's human right's act because they won't act within the best interests of an individual country and abide by our own and if our own act happens to inadvertently compromise the safety of those who reside here then we make a new bill.

See what I mean. A debate about soups can set you off on tangential thinking.

    Incredible.

I prefer the European one, where prisoners can vote. Maggie took away the ability for prisoners to run for Parliament after she was pumped by Bobby Sands, the aul bitch - you wouldn't get away with that type of political "I don't like it, so I'll make it illegal" opportunism now.
