So maybe Bruce's predominently buy British strategy pays fringe dividends, cannot put a price on that.
David Burns ‏@bbcburnsy 11m Correction though still unconfirmed , Hull City bid was £3.5m for Diame at West Ham but still rejected. #hcafc
This claims the release clause is £3.5m - http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...has-35m-release-clause-triggered-8475909.html
Maybe it requires the payments to be a certain way? It may have to be £3.5m cash but we offered £2m with £1.5m over the next 6 months.
http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/sport/football/clubs/manchesterunited/article4189666.ece Times are breaking the story now. --- Aston Villa and Hull City have made bids of around £9 million for Tom Cleverley, the Manchester United and England midfielder. United are willing to listen to offers for Cleverley in addition to a raft of other players before the transfer window closes on Monday as Louis van Gaal, the manager, tries to overhaul his squad.
I see Cleverley going to Villa even if we are interested. I think Cleverley would be very good for us and would excel in an environment where there is less pressure. I think there's a player in there somewhere.
Even then, I don't see this being true at all - considering we're about to buy Abel for near enough £10m, I don't see us spending similar again for the the rest of the window.
