Positive news from WHU is that they are going to be without Carrol, Jarvis, Jenkinson, Nolan & Collins plus doubts about their new striker Sakho Happy days
West Ham manager Sam Allardyce is confident his team can beat Southampton in Saturday's Barclays Premier League clash despite their injury woes. The Hammers are without five players through injury while Diafra Sakho is doubtful for the encounter at Upton Park. The Senegal striker hurt his back during Tuesday's Capital One Cup exit to Sheffield United. 'We still have (Andy) Carroll, (Matthew) Jarvis, (Carl) Jenkinson, (Kevin) Nolan and (James) Collins out,' Allardyce said in Thursday's press conference. 'Sakho tweaked his back on Tuesday too so we're not sure if he'll be fit for Saturday. 'You don't want to be faced with that many injuries, but we're looking pretty good with the way we are playing.' Fat Sam said 5 players out injured, surely that should have said 3 out injured, 1 donkey always out injured and 1 out suspended for being a dirty bastard
Gotta love him! Gaston going nowhere. Cork is doing what he needs to do to get a new contract. Morgan training well. Alderweireld (sp?) out of our league. West Ham very aggressive - not our philosophy
So Jack and Gaston not leaving as our squad is too small (RK's presser). Boruc could be, but depends on what happens in last few days of window. That Belgian chappie is a no go, as (probably) is Townsend.
Like it when he was asked (yet again) if Morgan's situation is settled. He said (with a wry smile), 'It always was settled.'
