    From @OptaPaolo on twitter

in 2011-12 the foreign managers in Serie A will be two, one in Ligue 1, three in Bundesliga 1, six in La Liga, 15 in the EPL. Domestic.

When you compare England to the other leagues in Europe it is worrying and makes you wonder how the best English are going to get a chance when 3/4 of coaches in the top league are Foreign

No different to any other industry in this country, you employ based on who you feel is best suited for the job - not their nationality.

It's just what happens when the game is driven by money. Most foreign owners want immediate success for there money so don't give young managers a chance, hence why they go for experienced foreign managers.

Plus the FA is **** and not doing anything that will improve the English game in the future.

Actually, the only foreign managers (non-British) are:

    Arsenal: Wenger
    Chelsea: Vilas Labos (sp?)
    Fulham: Jol
    Man City: Mancini
    Wigan: Martinez

Presumably that poll is counting the Scotts & Welsh as foreign so it's misleading.

I know that at one point there were about 8 managers from Glasgow in the PL, so that may count as foreign...

I think there are 7 Scots at the moment. 6 English, 1 Irish, 5 foreign. The other one is the Swansea manager. Is he Welsh?

I met an American who thought that Scotland was a suburb of London.

So, 70% 'British', 30% foreign (that includes Mick McCarthy). Not too bad at all.

Don't think it's mis-leading, it is the English Premier League after-all so I see why English managers are the only ones counted as non-foreign.

A lot are Scottish, do they count as foreign since they're British?
