Disagree wholeheartedly, was discussed here recently about his relationships with referees etc, and also away fans ever game are commenting on how impressive he is.

Matter pf time before that feeds through, will take longer only as Roy won't come and watch him, cos he's weak as cats piss and an utter ****ing tosspot.

It's a sfae bet that anything Durham writes about football you can back the opposite at the bookies and win 95% of the time.

    He's a ****ing moron mate.

I'm not buying into that theory that he's a holding midfielder just yet man, he's a great DM but I think his passing is nowhere near good enough to make that transition. It's like that Tiote fella, he's a cruncher, a tank at the back but ask him to spray the ball around and create and he just drowns on the pitch.

If Hodgson wants a holding midfielder to play in the squad then Gareth Barry is first and all you'll ever need for that position.

The inclusion of Colback seems more of a pat on the back than a signal of the future intentions to me, we're blessed with enough quality in midfield right now (injuries aside) to think about him becoming a permanent fixture.

    Now I didn't say that did I.

It's a problem with the English FA not with Cattermole. It's why Roy got the job and Harry didn't, it's why Clough never got the job etc.

    Is that true?

Scholes was also far better than Pirlo by the way ;)

    Barry is ****e mate

Cattermole's passing ability has really developed

His ability to spray a ball is scary

Its not quite Scholesy but its very good

Don't talk wet! If Danny Graham had bagged a couple of goals in the first two games for us do you think he would have getting picked!? Colbacks inclusion would be based on the end of last season and the beginning of this one! Even if he was still at Sunderland I suspect that he would have still getting a call up which gives a terrible reflection on the quality of our national side!

    Looks like the press do influence who gets in the squad - quote from Hodgson;

"I spoke to someone who knows him well and he called him The Ginger Pirlo (after Italian playmaker Andrea Pirlo) and it would be nice if he turned out like that.

"I was impressed with him last year and he has an awful lot to offer. He is a very talented player. Suddenly we have lost Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard and Michael Carrick. Jack plays in a position where vacancies can quickly arise and we will see how he gets on."

I've seen his pass completion stats mate, it's not good enough for a holding mid, it is what you'd expect of a defensive mid, which is what he is.

Barry had a cracking season at Everton last year, arguably their best player... yeah I've seen enough of him for England to not want him to play for England again but I can't think of a better player, consistently than him in that role.

Aye, said he was overrated & thought Lampard & Gerrard are better. ****ing laughable & I agree Scholes was better than Pirlo. Paul scholes will always be my favourite player. ****ing class of a player he was. made the game look so easy pal.

I did infer that, hence I wrote "rightly or wrongly" before making my point.

Then you haven't watched him since January. His passing is immaculate, short passes are instinctive, long passing accurate.

The only real misplaced passes are when he's trying to put people in out wide, and that is standard, always difficult passes/runs t combine, over a few games it will be mainly Rodwell and Giacc taking those chances, and Catts passing % will go up.

83% for a DM, by the way, is superb, they aren't there to be playmakers.

I have to laugh at the suggestion Barry is any better than Catts, again, people are forming opinions having not watched the lad, and on his history.
