Really..? You follow the Dutch league then..? Just checking. I have looked up a few specs and bits of info, and he looks like a pretty capable player. Dutch players don't automatically go into their National team and become a fixture, nor are all of them good enough to be ever present for Feyenoord, so he obviously has some class. We'll see. Perhaps I ought to set aside a few minutes a day to practice somersaulting..?
An article about Saints intending to sign two more players and not parting with Jack Cork. http://www.touchlinetalk.com/southampton-set-two-signings/102798/ Twaddle..?
Yeah, watched it a bit last season and even more now Sky have the rights to show it on their new sports channel.
He didn't say no contract would be offered, at all, he said that they were not talking about it yet, subtle difference.
It wasn't obvious which is why I asked and is that it, in terms of what you've heard? You heard he isn't better than Cork?
Yes, we know Lb12. The words, at present are very important. Given Koeman's slightly imprecise command of the English language, it just means that they aren't sorting it out yet. Especially as thereafter, he goes on to say that Cork is very happy being a Saints player.
Koeman also said his door was open if anyone was unhappy...it is rumoured he added, 'Sit down, Morgan. Not you.'
Well I hadn't heard enough, it appears. Having read up on the lad, I grant you he could be pretty damn good. It could be academic anyway, as whether we want him or not, we might not get him. I would like to think there is room for Jack Cork anyhow in a two good players for each position scenario.
Unless we sort out a contract for him then I wouldn't blame him for jumping ship which would be a great shame and would reduce the quality of our squad even further WTF is going on at board level
With Collback called up, Jack Cork can't be too far off a call up. Just needs a decent first team run. Hopefully with us..
Could be they don't want to offer him another contract. It's not hard to grasp...not so much a sign of indecision as that they have made a decision some disagree with.
They could easily offer Cork a contract - but if they don't plan on using him as more than a versatile sub, they may see it as a more sensible option to sell or let his current deal run down. Does Cork not want to start?
There has been contract talks but no contract offered. How do we not know Cork said " I want to play more if I sign" we said we can't guarantee that, so he is looking at other options. All the board blaming for everything needs to stop( not saying it's just you).
Cork staying according to Koeman. He said if you are not picked, you have to show the manager what you can do and Jack did that when he came on at Millwall.
At this rate we will have nothing to discuss. That's the Jack and Gaston and Andros threads killed and a rumour scotched.
