City once again failed to score an away goal despite arguably playing the better of the two sides, and a horrific error from goalkeeper Mcgregor gifted Lokeren the sole goal, city will hope to avoid a repeat of the home leg against AS trencin, conceding an away goal in the first two minutes of play, a goal for Lokeren will leave city needing atleast 3 goals After sundays defiant and heroic display against stoke city playing with 10 men for give or take 80 minutes, the players will start to see the fatigue, this will be a big test. Is it your turn for the match day thread brady mate? Got to say you're pulling out all the stops here. Not sure if Chazz can best this...
Only I wish you had mentioned that Celtic are giants of the European stage, as that now is obviously far from the truth.
I am looking forward to tonight also, fancy we will win 2-0, can see the same back 3 that started against Stoke.
I'm terrified we'll get knocked out. I hate away goals so much. I just can't see us as favourites when we could easily end up needing 3 goals. I want us to win more than any other game this season, but just can't see us getting the two goal victory we need. By the way, how does away goals work with extra time? If we win 1-0 after 90 minutes it'll go to ET, but what happens then? Do away goals still count extra in ET or do you just play as normal. Really hope it's the latter.
Afraid the away goal rule counts in extra time to PLT.. I'm nervous but I think we'll be ok. We need to play a full strength side though.
I would pretty much play the team that started against Stoke. Worry about Villa after we hopefully get through.
Brady, if you keep on pushing Chazz he will find you and belly flop on your head, I'm warning you. Also that score line looks like it's been drawn by a 3 year old with no hands. And I'm on that first picture of the fans.
I agree. Play the strongest team possible tonight, if we want to progress we have to show that by the team selection..
Looking at photos in HDM looks like it will be: McGregor Rosie, brude, macca, chester, brady Livermore, quinn, Boyd Sagbo, ince (Goig off those wearing the gps vests to track how hard they are training)
Bit of a dull crap morning for them to be walking around shopping or looking for a decent pub.. Suppose they could walk to the ground to get there berrings, have a look in our shop Lunch in St Stephens
Manager will freshen his side up, but won't make as many changes as in Belgium last week.... Steve Bruce will once again make changes to his side for tonight’s UEFA Europa League Play-Off 2nd Leg against KSC Lokeren (KO 7.45pm), but not the wholesale changes that were seen for the 1st leg in Belgium a week ago. Hull City go into the 2nd leg trailing 1-0 and Bruce will look at his options as he looks to overturn the deficit. “I’ve said for a long time that it is important that we keep a bit of freshness about us,” said Bruce. “Even after playing in Europe and going down to ten men, there was enough about us on Sunday to get a result. “We know that getting through to the group stages of this competition would be terrific for the club and we also know about what comes with that. “We’ll be going all out to try and get a result tonight. Of course, I have to think about the Premier League too, but as I keep saying to people, the squad that got us to the FA Cup Final last season was largely rotated. “We’ve got a squad in depth which I’m very comfortable with. We made wholesale changes in Belgium last week. There won’t be as many tonight, but we’ll certainly make a few.” James Chester is eligible to play tonight with his suspension for the red card received at the weekend only applying to domestic fixtures, but new signing Michael Dawson isn’t able to feature as he is not registered to play for the Tigers in this round of the competition. http://www.hullcitytigers.com/news/article/1415-lokeren-h-team-news-1879657.aspx#IrMecMLSjuuUjxlQ.99
