Before we get Di Maria...... Can't attract top players no more we have no money to spend no Champions League football team in decline........ After, Panic buy he has only gone for the money he will leave after a year when we don't get European football for the 2nd year running................. Don't think FFP has set into some fans yet they don't understand we can now out bid them for any player because they have to sell to buy because they are all ran at a loss
Shock and horror! Had we been more prudent we could have raided the bargain basement for such household names as Moreno, Markovic, Lambert and Can. LVG must be gutted
You've been bigging yourself up about supporting utd through the barren years, at that time when they were regular bargain basement shoppers and pulled out a few gems in doing so. Or were you asleep like Rumpelstiltskin for the Gordon Hill, Pearson, Coppel etc era? Only asking because if you reckon you deserve a pat on the back for being loyal at that time logic says you think the same of others who have or are doing as you did. Or are you the exception to the rule and deserve a big cake with candles on and your own little trophy?
He wanted to stay at Real Madrid you twat - it's there in black and white. No getting away from the facts this time Matthew.
Really, who in their right mind would play for the current European Champions, in Madrid, and think to themselves, "I know, I will move to ****ty old Manchester to play for a team who finished midtable." Not gonna fly Metth....
No offence but being in black and white means **** all. Have you seen di marias other statement. Full of praise for united and how happy he is to join. The only team he would have left real for etc etc.
Delusion of the year award. Even in his press pic wearing his United shirt, he has the most awful, forced grin on his face, and you just know he was saying under his breath "I'm gonna ****ing kill my agent!"
Yeah, like he is gonna say "I was forced to join this hell hole. I was in Madrid ffs. This place is gay!" Would have made for an awesome first interview, but it was never really gonna happen was it.
Maybe your tv is upside down as hes grinning like a Cheshire cat on most of them. He seems happy about the move to a proper club and unhappy about the way he was treated by a few at real. He chose to leave. Thats the end of this discussion.
Ok, despite him saying the complete opposite, that's the end. Lets leave it at that then..... please log in to view this image
Bodanki has prettty much covered what I was going to say. Once he knew he was coming to Utd he's hardly going to slate Utd is he? UIR I know you're not stupid, but that is pure idiocy if you think once he found out he was being forced out of Madrid to join Utd - he was going to start slagging Utd off. The quotes clearly say he wanted to stay at Madrid but they didn't need him anymore, so he had to go. I guess it's just a tad unfortuante for him that Utd were in such dire straights that he ended up there!!
United fans say he wanted to join ABU's claim the opposite. Reminds me of a primary school playground "my dads car is bigger than your dads"
FFS this discussion and argument is just inane. What does it f**ing matter how United got him? Real pushed him? He wanted to leave? United brainwashed him? he came for the money? The president of Real needed to balance the books? The ABUs will say the negative things to wum United fans here. The United will choose to believe the more positive things. I really do not care. The important thing is for him to deliver the expectations on him. Which will be huge.
It doesnt matter. I am not here to WUM. You think players like Drogba and Crespo came to Chelsea because of our awesome reputation? No they came because of cash. I am not trying to assert that the way United got him will take anything away from the purchase. Just merely countering UiR and Metth's claim that this was his dream move and he told Madrid to **** off because he was dying to come to sunny Manchester, and despite the player himself stating that he was forced out of Madrid, they still insist it was he who instigated the move.
I didn't think it was your (and other Non-Utd fans) job to disillusion the fans on this board. If they choose to believe, what does it f**ing matter to others? I know what to believe. Even in their current predicament, United still carry huge prestige all over the world. If I was given the choice of United in doldrums and City as premiership champions, I would choose United every time in a shot if I thought United would become competitive and get into the CL soon. I may be biased (!) but all over the world United dwarfs every premiership teams in terms of support and only Real outisde England comes close. If United win the title in the next few years, with a significant contribution from ADM, then he'll be a hero for his lifetime in huge parts of the world. Never mind the sponsorship deals he will get.
