Aye, I got the remastered album earlier this year (I didn't have a copy of the album), it is 3 discs of brilliance, albeit the first two discs are stuff previously released I went to see Oasis at Wembley about a month before they split. Superb it were. I want them to reform, but I'm enjoying Noel's solo work (that's another album that could've easy made my list). Beady Eye are crap though.
DM remastered is great, haven't picked up morning glory yet but you can guarantee that is to. Noel is just a songwriting genius, up there with Dylan, Lennon/Mccartney, Squire/Brown and the other greats. His new album coming out this year apparently has a real DM feel to it apparently, can't wait for it to storm the charts ahead of Bieber, 1 Direction etc...
Morning Glory's remaster doesn't come out till Sept. 29, so you have to wait a few more weeks. I do hope Noel's next album arrives soon. He's supposedly been recording all summer, also apparently wrote a total of 42 songs for this second album ! I hope this is on it - it's a demo from the CD that comes with the 'International Magic Live at the O2' DVD boxset (which I own, and actually went to). He's played it live a few times but never made a studio version of it. Shed Seven - Going for Gold Ash - Intergalactic Sonic 7"s Ocean Colour Scene - Moseley Shoals Linkin Park - Thousand Suns/Minutes to Midnight Prodigy - Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned/Invaders Must Die Joshua Radin - Simple Times Rammstein - Reise, Reise/Mutter Queens of the Stone Age - Songs for the Deaf/Lullabies to Paralyze AC/DC - Back in Black Metallica - Anything that isn't St. Anger.
Minus a bit of spillover the 90's seem to be the last decade of real albums. Now it seems to all be singles and other crap that they expect you to download of itunes or something. Gone are the days when a band wanted you to experience a dozen songs in one sitting.
Just love that response ellewoods - how many sheep do you have in your flock - not withstanding the chickens ? Brilliant response.
The only album in the past 2 or 3 years that has seemed to gain any mainstream attention is AM by Arctic Monkeys, which is a good album to be fair.
I try. I got 10 chickens right now, ive lost 2 to predators. No sheep although its on the list of potential livestock to get, my goats are waiting for me at one of my girls relatives farms. I am still finishing up my goat fencing, I have had coyotes, bobcats and mountain lions on my place lately so I have to do some serious predator proof fencing.
I dont think I have heard anything by them. I pretty much just listen to what I know at this point as I will buy a LP once in a while but I normally just look for something I recognize that I dont already have.
If you are going to listen to them, you have to start with Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not, their first album. From a lyrical standpoint, it is possibly the most clever album ever. Though if I were to introduce an American to them, I'd go with either Suck It And See or AM. Both have a lot more American influences than the earlier stuff, were recorded in LA and produced by Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age.
But I've always wanted to be a lumberjack! Leaping from tree to tree as they float down the mighty rivers of British Columbia...
radical change of subject - can't unravel the transfer threads - did the lad from Sarf 'Merica sign or what ? Gotta nip out for a packet of smokes - golf at 7 am & won't be able to get 'em on the way to the course - so hope I know the striker situation soon - I need to gloat - playing with a Leeds supporter & a Rangers supporter tomorrow.
Currently listening to Cast for the first time in ages... forgot just how good the song Walk Away was. Might just be my fave ever song.

That's one of the funniest things i have ever read on here. Edit - you just surpassed yourself! By 'remnants' I assume you mean **** bassist? Ask Lee Mavers what he thinks of him. Personally i'd suggest Ladies and Gentlemen We're Floating In Space was the best album of the 90s.
Just be aware they are dirty tax avoiders but like to pass themselves off as working class lads. As soon as you know that the hypocrisy of their lyrics and public persona make them hard to like.
