Agreed. The combined vulnerability of Sandro and Capoue to injury may justify bringing in Schneiderlin or some other top DM. Sandro going may be a sign someone else is coming in.

Of course, we have a number of players who can play DM: Dembele, Bentaleb, Dier has played there. But I agree Pochettino values a true DM because it lets other players get forward more securely.

In fairness to Capoue his injury was stemmed from a bad tackle against Arsenal, anyone could've been on the end of that. Sandro's injuries have come from a bad landing against QPR the season before last and then I think his other one(s) were from training.

Bentaleb is slowly climbing up that ladder to be a genuine first team player when all are fit, his partnership with Capoue so far has looked very promising.

If Schneiderlin comes in, then I think two of Sandro, Paulinho and Dembele will be off. It'll be impossible to keep so many midfielders happy.

Yes, let's get Scneiderlin because Saints transfers have been good for us and a change of midfield under a new coach would be good and Pocket and Schneiderlin know each other well. For me Dumbelle can go.

So Capoue is 100% unlucky with his injuries, and Sandro is 100% to blame for his.

No one's to blame for injuries. Pretty sure no one injures themselves on purpose.

I'd say more to do with luck. Sandro tends to have less luck than others over recent seasons.

There was that dude who ran himself over, Banega? Not on purpose but he is definitely to blame

Players like Capoue get elevated to a status that doesn't match their ability, while Sandro injury issues mean you can understand why he may be sold as managers can't keep players based on their popularity or what they have done in the past under previous managers if they aren't convinced of them being available for selection.

But in terms of ability and his previous performance level, Sandro is an outstanding DM.

Gomelt loaned to Bari for the season, too. I posted a link with him signing the contract and everything!

Pochettino watched Welbeck at MK Dons. Expect us to bid for Will Grigg.

I think Welbeck on loan is ok. Gives him the kick up the arse to prove he is worth a permanent deal. He's only 23 and there is a lot of potential there, and a loan is pretty risk free.

We should either buy Welbeck, loan him with a clause that allows us to buy him or leave him to someone else.
A normal loan would be good for Man Utd, but not for us. Fraizer Campbell part II.

I can't see Utd agreeing to loan Welbeck to a potential rival for European places.

Fair point NSIS. I think to compare Wellbeck to Frazer Campbell is a bit harsh though PNP! :)

I think tonight proved that we do need another front man but DW would need to improve.
