If we got falcao we would have an amazing front line...

Walcott----ozil-----Sanchez
----------falcao--------

With a back-up of:

Oxocube--Cazorla--podolski
------------giroud-------

With both Campbell and Sanogo to fit in as additional cover and several of the above players being able to play in each other's positions.

The guardian are probably the most reliable as far as papers go but £20m for a season loan is ridiculous even if we do have coin sitting in the bank. I just can't see Wenger going for that

If the 20m includes his wages it would be a lot but worth it I reckon.

If Falcao got us into the latter stages of the CL it would be worth it to the club financially.

So I haven't been keeping up with the rich French clubs, why exactly would they be open to loan Falcao? (if there is the least bit of truth to these rumours)

I would guess they want to shift his wages for ffp

Not sure why they'd need to though with the bumper bonus they got for Hamas

I think mathematically £20 million for a season long loan makes sense for Falcao, as absurd as it sounds.

He's on £12 million a year, so that leaves £8 million as a loan fee, which actually seems reasonable if you consider that if we were to sign him permanently on a 4 year deal he'd cost over £40 million. So that would be around £22 million a year. A nice little saving of £2 million, Wenger loves a bargain.

How can you afford to buy and pay the likes of Falcao when the capacity of your stadium is only 18,000 ?

My sources are telling me that we've made a €15 million bid for Adrien Robiot

Solution:

Sell Podolski, sign a proper striker.

Even consider loaning out one of Synagogue or Campbell if it gives you an excuse to sign a striker.

With the current bunch you will be too far off the pace by xmas IMO.

That would be f**ing typical. We need a DM, a Striker and CB - Wenger goes an buys a young French attacking mid.

It must be frustrating for you guys - we know Arsenal, unlike many other clubs, have the money to compete at the very top, but Wenger seems most reluctant to use it where you need to strenghen, maybe he still has a surprise or two us his sleeve...........??

Let's just hope that this isn't true. It would go down as the most pointless transfer ever. We will see a CB, but no DM or CF. We might get a CB/DM hybrid though, but that amounts to 1 player.

Rabiot is supposed to play as a DM/CM though isn't he? That's what I've read anyway. Not the signing I'd go for but I imagine if we did get him it'd be with the view to him being Arteta's successor and we'd still look for a CB.

Misunderstanding, thought he was an attacking player.
