Yep, very mediocre. However, what I meant was it could have been a League one or two side (better) or a Prem team (worse)
Those league 1 side are dangerous though Sometimes, teams in league 1 or 2 are tougher because they think they have nothing to lose and go for it. Where as someties the Champ teams concentrate on the league and don't put much effort in.
I would have been far less happy if you got a younger manager like Klopp instead. Van Gaal's best work was decades ago and his recent international career is practically a different sport than club football. 63 years old and nothing worth talking about in club football since 2010 is not the person needed to rebuild Man Utd's decaying husk of a squad.
I thought he was a decent choice at the time... he hasn't started out too brightly... but then, as LVG himself says; he normally starts out bad but gets better... this story checks out with his past history. Too early to really judge him yet, but we're going to enjoy the laughs whilst we can! / He is probably the ugliest looking man alive though.
