We'd be no better off, Alonso is a great passer but never a great tackler, plus he hasn't got the legs anymore. Masca is the one we needed back
not a great tackler..... hmmm.. 1. alonso was tough as old boots. 2. there's more ways to tackle then slide in from behind.... which is why masch might look a beast but just gets sent off while alonso was always in the right place blocking. 3. you are right he won't have the legs so it'd be like selling lucas and buying an even less able to run player

so its something that could happen last day transfer window then? ie they don't manage to sell him and offer him to us on loan with a view to permanent. do loans still need to be done before window closes? cant remember, i might be thinking of free agents. all theses clubs are desperate to get players off the books they don't really need now days.
