OK so we move on to what is one of my please please win games. I detest Fat Sam and the hoofball he favours and really want us to come away with the 3 points.

West Ham had a good result last week but came unstuck against Sheff Utd last night. They will be without Nolan and Carroll but will still be a big physical test. Our recent record against West Ham hasnt been brilliant and we've been well beaten on our last two visits to Upton Park, 3-1 and 4-1. Hopefully though the players will have gained some confidence from a good result against Millwall and can overcome West Hams negative tactics. Vic and Morgan will be vital for us.

I don't think we've picked up any new injuries so Ron should have pretty much a full squad to choose from. I'm assuming any new players wont be signed in time for Saturday so I'll go with

I think this game might just be a bit too physical for JWP so would start with Cork. Plenty of options on the bench if we need to up the tempo in the second half. I'll go for a convincing Saints win 3-1 with Pelle again on the scoresheet.

Thankfully Andy the leaping salmon Carroll won't be diving around the place trying to con the ref into giving free kicks .

We're not going to lose. May not be a massive, glorious victory, but we will draw or win.

This will be 1-0, 0-0 or 0-1. Very low scoring. I reckon most likely is a West Ham 1-0 but I'd take a 0-0 right now. I hate playing West Ham, it's always a **** game so I'd be delighted if we won. It's just the kind of game we don't win. First time Koeman has played them though, so maybe his system can crack them down!
