It could be argued Celtic did not really deserve to be in the play offs as they were soundly beaten and only survived the last round due to a technicality
They didn't deserve to be in it. Which means if we played them some massive BS would have happened like a beachball goal. #jinx avoided #nojinx
so it's looking like: POT1 Real Barca Bayern Chelsea Benfica Atletico Arsenal?? Porto POT2 Schalke Dortmund Juve PSG Shaktar Basel Zenit City POT3 Leverkusen??? Olympiacos CSKA Ajax Liverpool Sporting Galatasaray Bilbao/Napoli??? POT4 Anderlect Roma Monaco Maribor Red Bull Salzburg/Malmö APOEL Steaua Bucureșt/Ludogorets Razgrad BATE Borisov
Would love a tough group like that. Doesn't matter if we possibly go out at the group stage, just be nice to be back with the big boys.
I want BATE so I can make jokes about mastering them. Porto, Basel, and BATE would make me very happy.
This. The English CL money is split between the PL qualifying teams. Scottish teams have their own pot (or not in this year's case). My choice would be: Barca Juve Liverpool Monaco #groupofdeath
Barca Dortmund Liverpool Red Bull / Malmo Couple of tough big ones, with a more winnable game in there.
Today we face once again the age old debate. The instant gratificaiton of Arsenal bottling it in Europe now, or the more patient wait for them to bottle it later with the burden of extra games to play.
Arsenal play Besiktas tonight. The Turks are unbeaten in their last 16 CL qualifying games whilst Arsenal have played 12 and never lost. A score draw would see Besiktas through, 0 - 0 and it goes to extra time then pens, I think. Arsenal will probably be 3 up by half time, but if they do go out more TV money for us, City and Chelsea.
