Dammit, the sodding Clipboard didn't clear!

It's telling that nearly every single video of that match appear to have been eradicated from Youtube, as if to say it didn't happen (even though it did, here's the proof: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/14869938), yet there's countless ones of the reverse. Have the Mousers been flagging videos that show the abject humiliation of King Kenny?

I think that he meant this:

Commentary by some bitter Scouser or other.

I think you will also find that on youtube Suarez has never bitten/butted/gouged/stamped at an opposition
player while playing for the Poool, nor have any of their players dived for a free/penalty kick. <ok>

Ideally, I think, it gives you extra focus.

I thought Liverpool were very good in the first half. Quick on the break and Sterling played as well as I have seen him but they lacked a cutting edge up front (Suarez?). For that reason I think BR will select Super Mario. I hope he does as he may not be fit and may take time to settle in.

I was also impressed with Sterling, though Coutinho was disappointing, I thought. Liverpool were not bad overall. Lots of teams will lose by two goals and more at the Etihads.

I wouldn't want Rodgers' decision as to whether to start Balotelli. If you don't start him and lose, the criticism will be harsh. On the other hand if you do start him and things go south, it will be even worse.

If it were up to me, I'd sub him in at 70 minutes.

Last season we were confidant of beating you home and away but with the new manager in place you lot are already a different animal, of course I want a win but I would be happy to come away with a point.

I think most of us would say the same of the upcoming match. Tbh not getting dry humped all around the pitch would be an improvement on last year.

Yeah it's fair to say that early signs suggest we're a far cry from the shower of **** that we were last season.

I'm feeling pretty confident if I'm honest. Both teams are dangerous going forward but we've finally looked half decent at the back in the first couple of games so I'm hoping that gives us the advantage, Dier's been a revelation, Rose is finding form and Vertonghen and Kaboul both seem fully fit now, all backed up by a superb keeper in Hugo.

I'm wary of the pace that Sterling and Sturridge has so we'll have to be on our toes for those two, hopefully Capoue and Bentaleb can nullify and shut down the creativity from the likes of Gerrard and Coutinho spreading the balls to the two speedsters.

Guaranteed to be a good game though.

It won't be an easy game by any means, but I won't be happy with anything under 3 points... Liverpool needs to get their season rolling.

That's the worry, it would be a bad start but if it happens we will just have to roll with it and put it behind us. If the players start looking at the table after 3 games then we will have a bad season.

If we win then great if we lose then I will be one of the few who don't go into meltdown, there's plenty of footy to play yet.

Oh... I plan on having a meltdown if we lose. I've already got planned how my "Rodgers Out" signs are going to look. Going to swap my Sunday morning coffee for Sunday morning rum if we lose!

At this point of the season you look at the manner of the result more than the end result.
    Having said that, Spurs were P2 W0 D0 L2 F1 A8 three seasons ago.
    Then put together a P11 W10 D1 sequence.

I never like a draw. It's 2/3 of a defeat. Figure out a way to win or lose every game. A draw leaves points on the table in a way that benefits our rivals. And the best way to draw fewer games is to score and concede more, which makes for more entertaining football.

In Utopia, yes. Unfortunately, the clubs are in the business of points accumulation. If you're Palace away to The Goons, you're looking to nick one point - if you can poach all three, great!

A draw instead of a loss can be the difference between winning a title, or just avoiding being relegated.

    Pragmatism rules, at most clubs.
