No Matt, just sick of the sniping mate. Those of us who didnt think AT would cut it in the Prem were honest enough to say so and why. just getting bored with those who dont have the bals to explain why a manager who promoted us a first task, got rid of **** like adel and is building a decent looking team deserves so much crap. i dont understand it myself and anyone with the intrest to read stans posts over the past month of so, and read between the lines can see it for what it is. Of course there is always the cowardly "its prob all bollocks, and diversion' tactics..but it seemsi aint the only one who picked up on it Flyer has probably topped himself now after attention seeking a bull reason to leave. Its really boring for the simple reason that Redknapp ain going anywhere. If it was Tubby Tarbs then it would be diffrent as he has no home and NO ONE wants him...! 9;40 pm here so may go get a beer as i gonna enjoy reading this..dont think i'll bother posing though..Stan knows exactly what he was doing....as do some of us
Fair play mate. The only thing I'll add is a very general point that can apply to managers or players - we seem to argue more based on the esteem of people (players/managers) on here rather than their actual merits - if one is held in high regard then others will try to shoot them down. For example, in the Championship, Hoilett was usually furnished with the ball, is not recognised for his workrate. His actual end-product was fairly low. Not horrendous but not top-notch for a player that is usually considered alright by nearly everyone. In actual terms, he made less of an impact in the second tier than Mackie did despite the latter missing half a season. The less said about his year in the Premiership with us the better. ...and I still quite like him too!!! The only reason that perhaps he escapes is he is quiet and doesn't make headlines. A certain Moroccan can never be accused of that! In the same way, I think Arry would admit he furnishes the local and national rags with plenty of ammo. That's probably why they're so divisive and it's the media portrayal of the antics that fuels the rifts on here (interpreted by each to support their own view). I'm slightly on the anti-Arry side but I don't think that Saturday makes much odds to the season and we shouldn't destabilise anything for that - I've seen flat Barca, Man U, Man City etc performances but never thought that signaled immediate doom, just an off day (typified by low energy and bad ball retention)! If we have a few to come in fine, no extra purchases and no changes of manager required.
OK Queens, here's the deal. As I said on another thread yesterday, nothing anyone posts on here can upset or offend me, not even being called a coward, but this is getting tiresome, especially for other posters. So I won't post on football/QPR (I'd still like to play on the OT threads if that's ok by you) until we have played 12 league games. If we have more than 12 points at the end of those I'll be back saying 'fair play, well done, keep it up for the rest of the season'. Perhaps this will give you time to post stuff other than attacks on me. And anyway, there are more than a few other posters who will more than adequately reflect my views in the meantime. Lone, I understand your position and respect what you are doing, I just disagree that showing loyalty on a messageboard which is a place for debate will make any difference at all to the club or team. I reacted badly to what I interpreted (possibly wrongly) in your posts as an attempt to shut everybody who is more sceptical than you about Redknapp up after the display on Sunday.
Oh FFS grow up Stan. you can post what you like and th fact that some of us diont agre with ou should not make you change your views. If its school kid stuff the do what you want, but fatcs are...we are up and in the Prem with a manager you dont lik or rate. (not sure why) if you want to run and hide then thats up to you. Im speaking foir the majority (i believe) when i say, "Harry giot us up so give him a chance" The rest for a person of you ilk Stan is in my own opinion, really quite pathetic. Still, i will not and have not slated you for your views. Just thought you were more of a man than that last feeble attention seeking post Im not posting attacks on you, andif you believe so then maybe yo should re-read some of the stuff you posted to Flyer prior to him leaving. You are no saint yourself, and as such i expect you to take as mkuch as you give. Not just bo out when the majority are against you. Its your board too mate..im just pointing out what eveyone else can see.... DO what you wish
This is a brilliant post and possibly one of the best I've seen recently probably because I agree 100%!!
Yes, it is this that is boring me, especially the crass statements that some of us are in the Anti Adel faction, or the Anti Arry faction , or in the Pro Adel faction or Pro Arry faction. Sounds like two gangs in a primary school playground! I like to think that most of us on here see more than just one facet to everything, few things in life are so clear cut, not even football players. There are rarely such simple answers, not everything is either good or bad.
Just read this, and I'm a bit shocked at the strong reactions to a pretty inoffensive OP. Why should it be deemed disloyal to say anything even slightly critical about a manager who has made it pretty clear that he has no affinity with the club or it's fans? Keep posting Stan.
Well, it took him a long time to stop saying 'they' instead of 'we' when describing the club. He pretty much gave up on us in our relegation season and seemed to have done the same last season when we dropped out of the automatic promotion places.
I really, really don't think we need any more players unless there are some exits. I just think that organisation and discipline is the key now. And that's always been the better strategy. Group ethic and organisation over individual talent.
Agree. A lot for an unproven at PL level striker. Too much of a gamble and possibly no better than Charlie.
