i knew someone would come out with that joke so they havent changed anything then, as it didn't used to go right through me.
Not sure. I'll check with my mate. He works in brewing and is privy to all sorts of information about all the main brands. One of the reasons I asked RHC the question I asked him earlier. I've always ask people who like Carling if they like Tennant's, after I once had a long talk with my brewery mate.* Carling is inexplicably popular in Derby. I've lived in maybe five or six different locations in the UK and Derby is the only place I've lived where Carling is (massively) preferred over other lagers like, say, Carlsberg. It's like living in the Twilight zone. *My brewery mate says the recipe for Tennent's is practically identical to Carling, and that professional beer tasters have problems distinguishing between the two in most taste tests. I like to see whether people are consistent in their tastes or whether they are unconsciously biased by publicity and advertising. It's usually the latter. Only one person, so far, has admitted to liking both Tennant's and Carling. Interesting.
Not near Preston and Bolton it isn't, (not sure about Wigan / Warrington) having lived between those cities for over 11 years.
Wonder if people in Europe drink Carling because it's British like we have European beers over here, anyone ever seen it offered over there?
i can only speak for amsterdam, dont think they do other there, if i remeber rightly it was heineken mainly. you see how they poor beers abroad there, lucky if you get 3/4 pint
I don't drink anything to do with sweaties. Actually, that's not strictly true. I do love a bloody good single malt now and again. Preferably Ardbeg from Islay
