I don't think he was seeing as Wenger stated he wasn't after another foward. Also has Girouds injury actually been confirmed yet?
Wayne Veysey @wayneveysey · 12 Min. Specialist assessed Giroud scans this morning. Confirmed #AFC fears. Broken bone in foot & out for around 10 weeks.
Eto scored 12 goals in 34 games (not sure how many were as subs). Huntelar is a good shout. He would fit our style as well.
FFS - so it means we will probably go get Welbeck now FFS, certain will do you guys a favour taking him off your wage bill
We're supposedly confirming after the Besiktas game. Odd timing and in no way linked with CL qualification. We qualify = Giroud crocked and we make a move for a make-weight forward We fail to qualify = Giroud crocked but we make do with who we have until he's back.
we qualify then we won't progress out of group stage without a decent world class striker we fail to qualify and we won't progress in EPL/FA Cup/League Cup either without a decent world class striker. either way we are ****ed or screwed without a decent world class striker, which is what we wanted before the injury. now it is imperative
I was implying that Arsene will think we can still get top 4 with Sanchez/Pod/Campbell up front without CL responsibilities weighing us down. He may be right too though I think it would be an error to not reinforce.
why wasn't Giroud taken out and iced as precaution as any team would do? Giroud was going to the goons crowd - milking it all with a limp.
Watched the Commando Training programme on TV last night and this guy was trying to walk last 600 metres with a broken leg FFS. So come on Giroud and grow a pair and play on.
City: Dzeko, Aguero, Negredo, Jovetic. Chelsea: Costa, Drogba, Torres. Liverpool: Sturridge, Balotelli, Lambert. Man Utd: RvP, Hernandez, Sturridge. Arsenal: Giroud, Podolski, Sanogo. Easily the weakest strikeforce. What is going on? Wenger has had SO many windows to strengthen. Costa was available, Balotelli too, yet once again, nothing. How long before we hear the "if Wenger doesn't strengthen next summer I'll want him out." Something is wrong with the transfer system at Arsenal.
The media always have it written they just change the date at the top of their article. At the moment it is being used for the united in crisis - which makes for a change. If we had lost 4-0 the papers would be saying its time for AW to go. They are just waiting to see what happens tonight or they will put in on hold till we lose our first game. I honestly feel there is a anti-arsenal bias in the media and they are too quick to kiss the asses of United and Liverpool
