yes este, I think Eddie's comments in this case are very foolish, just as Lorimer did supporting Bates ... in the current climate it won't take a lot for another Leeds Legend to alienate himself from the fans, which is why he is a fool to suggest that Hock is doing a good job with the players we have ... it is sad to see our great former players being reduced to propaganda megaphones, and it pisses me off no end when someone like Gray makes unintelligent comments which I believe under normal circumstances he wouldn't ... Eddie is still my hero, just, but he needs to stop the politics and stick to football
I disagree, think he is probably the closest thing we have to captain material. You could even see it in his first season at Leeds which was his poorest one, since then has steadily improved. And, I think I am the only one on the forum that thinks he was better than Cooper in the Boro game, I understand that Cooper has a lot of talent but it seems to me people want him to play just because he is a new signing therefore must be better than what we currently have. Pearce for me, for the time being anyway, is among our 2 best centre backs at the club and should start. Even if he does eventually drop down the pecking order, we still need to have suitable back-up.
I agree Josh Pearce may not be the best but he is fairly reliable over the course of a season. Zakliukas we all raved about and Wootton some even suggesting we paid £1m for the latter. Both impressed for the first handful of games then failed miserably. How are we going to create competition for places selling the likes of Pearce? Easiest way to solve the captaincy is to sack the coach and get someone in who can pick the best starting 11

Agree with all that. In his defence though as a commentator, he hasn't had much to work with in recent times. Little positive to talk about and Id say, given the standard at which he played, our recent plight must really hurt him as he is Leeds through and through
