To be fair, starting an attack is not Victors game. Cork should be competition for Morgan. Sorry but Davis and JWP again both struggled to impress, its time to try Gaston or Taider. Long has done enough to keep hold of his place
Koeman's first competitive win, let's hope we can kick on from here. Bring on Big Sam and the other folk from East London.
Thats what I'm saying. Play both Cork and Wanyama. I know that theoretically we lose a more 'creative' player but we still have some skilful players out there.
Not much point starting another thread so my ratings would be Forster - 6 Clyne - 7 Fonte - 6 Maya - 6 Targett - 7 Wanyama - 6 JWP - 5 Davis - 5 Isgrove - n/a Pelle - 1st half 3, 2nd half 7 Long - 7 Cork - 7 Tadic - 8 (changed the game when he came on) Gaston - n/a
Cork was good, but Wanyama and Schneiderlin are better. Cork is fantastic back up and yes it's hard to drop him on that performance but remember the opposition. He'll play this season, he's a sturdy and reliable player.
Just found out the result and scorers. Jack Cork becomes a cult hero, and Pelle gets off the mark. What a nice end to the day.
Week in week out he was our best midfield player last year. It doesn't matter how much you want other players to be better, if you watch the games, they haven't been. I know its 'just' Millwall. But it was 'just' Millwall in the first half too and we were appalling.
Don't be shy, btw. If you want to make a comment, we don't bite. Well, some do, but hardly any. Honestly.
I love Jack Cork and don't under rate him at all. He's a fantastic and reliable player, but as it happens we're blessed with CMs and I think Wanyama and Schneiderlin - in Koeman's system - get the nod
