This lad is rated highly.. I wonder if Bruce can persuade him? Roberston, Maguire, Lenihan... future city defence?

The Irish contingent could be the difference, as Meyler in particular is still close with Cork City.

 

Lenihan certainly looks like a great prospect at RB (the second Coleman?) and if so its a very good price to pay. Is Bruce's thinking that Robertson, like Gareth Bale, will become a LW in the future given his speed and goal scoring potential? We certainly seem to be well stocked at LB with Dudge, Conor Townsend, and Figgy.

 

Brighton have better facilities and can offer more immediate 1st team football. Against that Steve Bruce is a pull and so is the presence of our Irish contingent. I would point to the example of Robertson and say 'you do the same as him, and you'll be in a squad playing in the Premier League'

 

And, therefore, your National squad.

If you go to Brighton you'll be buggered. Probably literally.
