That's the problem though, NSIS. Virtually all of the information seems to be coming from those aligned with political campaigns on one side or the other. The average voter is going to be utterly confused as to what they're actually voting for, as none of it appears to be set in stone. It's a mess, much like any other political vote, I guess.
I understand, PNP. It's why I say it's so difficult. So much of the result seems to be predicated on the oil question and the currency argument. These are both subjects that no ordinary voter is going to have a clue about the true facts. I wouldn't like to be in the Scottish voter's shoes. With so much potentially at stake, and so much misinformation and obfuscation making the decision even more complicated for them.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/ukn...ontroversial-NHS-claims-during-TV-debate.html Disgraceful behaviour from the yes campaign if this is true, maybe Spurf can comment?
If there is any truth to that accusation, it's disgraceful behaviour! It's difficult enough for voters in Scotland to make an informed decision. If this has any foundation, it is the most blatant use of misinformation in this whole increasingly sordid saga, yet.
Debate Guide â The Yes Opportunity. Will try and see a copy of this, but according to the press reports, it says
THis is the Doctor the No campaign are intent on rubbishing.
No the difference in this campaign is the Internet. This enables real information to pass from person to person. Not politicians but experts or just figures. It is far harder to hide info and this is how the YES campaign is slowly winning the argument. On one side we have the establishment on the other the YES people. Once people are aquainted with the facts which ARE available YES wins every time. I posted earlier a good example of Darling and his lies that trip of his tongue with consumate ease. The internet enables us to expose this and him for what he is; a career politician. You post links from the Telegraph then at least look at the other side of the story.
Could it be that the Scottish intelligentsia know that a yes vote would damage Scotland and are trying desperately to save Scotland from ruin. Why choose a Hendon born gutless Socialist nancy like Darling to debate against a claymore wielding clansman like Salmond? Baffling.
Driving through the streets of Scotland they have "YES" posters on lamposts but underneath more people are putting "NO THANKS" posters. The people of scotland are obviously fed up of having the yes campiagn rammered down their throats.
There are rumours that the Sunday Times/Panelbase (polling company) conducted a poll that showed 44 yes, 44 no and 12 DKs. If true, this has not been published and would amount to a large shift in momentum to Yes. Also very dodgy that they chose not to publish (again, if true).
I doubt last night caused a huge shift (overall) in any direction but some of the undecided would have chosen to go Yes or No.
I didn't post a link from the Telegraph, that was Boss. Both sides are the establishment, anyway. Salmond's Scotland's First Minister and you keep claiming that leading businessmen are backing the Yes vote. How's that not the establishment?
Apologies. This is in effect a Scottish rebellion PNP so the establiment is firmly in Westminster, business men or not.
Let's hope that it ends up like most of them then and Salmond goes the way of Wallace: "He was hanged, drawn and quartered — strangled by hanging, but released while he was still alive, emasculated, eviscerated and his bowels burnt before him, beheaded, then cut into four parts. His preserved head (dipped in tar) was placed on a pike atop London Bridge. It was later joined by the heads of the brothers, John and Simon Fraser. His limbs were displayed, separately, in Newcastle upon Tyne, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Stirling, and Perth. A plaque stands in a wall of St. Bartholomew's Hospital near the site of Wallace's execution at Smithfield." Seems fair! That, of course, was Sir William Wallace, landowner and noble. Not a member of the establishment, either. No way.
'No Thanks' independence posters defaced Posters urging people to vote against independence in Scotland have been spray painted with the words 'scum' and destroyed http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/ukn...7/No-Thanks-independence-posters-defaced.html
Hey PNP I don't need you muscleing as well . Funny enough Staurday was the aniversary of the death of Wallace. I think your definition of estblishment is a little off. He would have been establishment IF he had won Independence for Scotland but as you pointed out he lost.
It's the Telegraph Boss. If we go down that road it will not be good. Did you read about the YES guy who died after being attacked in Edinburgh. There are nutters but fortunately as you must know it has been pretty well behaved. Look at us we still talk to one another don't we, you low down No voting bastard.
So if the Yes campaign wins, then you'll be the establishment, Spurf? Are you then going to push for independence for Edinburgh/Glasgow/Aberdeen/nowhere else relevant, as you don't want to be run by them... er, you?
