Obviously there is always some doubt with bringing in foreigners, even if they are English, but its clear that our early intelligence about Dier being a 38 goal-a-season defender are proving to be correct too. Stubhub
Once we gel, we will be even better. In fact, we'll become so good, the league will be forced to give us four points a game. Like a marathon, the winners start at the front and set the pace for the stragglers behind. We'll even have time to stop for a cuppa tea halfway round.
Accoridng to the Telegraph the title race is a 'Two Horse Race' this year. I'd be interested to know who they think the other horse is...
Anyone else a bit bored of being top now? Just doesn't seem to be anyone able to challenge us sufficiently.
And I bet we'll be top tomorrow as well. Everyone else needs to up their game or we'll be top on Thursday at this rate.
Think I'd consider a points deduction now SD, just to give us a slight bit of competition and make things a little interesting.
Rather than in jest like the rest of the thread, when you think about it seriously it is pretty damn impressive that at this early stage of the season we can lose our next game and we're still guaranteed to be top.
As YV pointed out on the rival watch thread, it is highly likely we will be picking up a lot of ex Man U fans now. Given a lot are probably in the right catchment area and we are top of the league.
Top of the league for tongue in cheek humour judging by comments on this thread. I suppose being Spurs fans you have to have that. Let's hope the pundits prediction on the BBC for the likely Premiership Champions falls flat on its face for once and you guys suprise everyone. If Athletico can in La Liga why not the Mighty Spurs. No more uppping it for Chelsea and Man City - Spurs can match them on their day and hopefully throughout the season.
cracker, we beat them away and should beat them by more at home so I want 4-0, seriously. Now we have a young coach who has started well and the team is full of enthusiasm but I still think we should be wary of the experienced old heads coaching the top teams. They know how to frustrate the young ones and that starts with City. I don't yet rate Rodgers as a Pellegrini or Wenger type of standard.
Indeed, Ides. The pundits haven't yet caught on to the "mighty Spurs juggernaut" metaphor just yet, but they will. In time. Also, I'm looking forward to the first time when Lawro and Shearer utter the words "North London Power-Shift." It's been coming for a few seasons, as I have always predicted.
