I wouldn't put any more bids in now, he's not worth more than 12m, he's done well in the championship, but for 12m you are wanting a proven goalscorer in the PL, liverpool only paid 16m for balotelli, who is a proven international aswell as a proven PL striker, rhodes is worth 10m perhaps, but no more. I think bruce is panic buying now!

Rhodes vs Balotelli: Apart from Balotelli wouldn't sign for the lowly Hull City, I doubt he knows where it is. Rhodes: We all should know his stats/probable wage etc... Balotelli: A top class prem striker, only 25? although he looks older, but it's not only the 16m what's his wage demands? £100k+ per week? Also he has the same risk as Rhodes but in a different manner, Rhodes isn't proven, but he's apparently a decent guy who puts his head down and works, Balotelli can be a nightmare, as he's only young so he may have got over this, but unlikely. He'll be puffing cigs during training and getting sent off for punching be it opposition, team mates or manager, he's not big into training either, he is potentially TROUBLE. It's like comparing a TVR with a Z4, the Z4 isn't as special but it's a decent performer, but also won't overheat and blow fuses every week like the TVR will Rhodes over Balotelli Welbeck over Balotelli too Welbeck or Rhodes?

Is Rhodes worth Long + 3 million? It might be better to think of it like that than think of it like 15 mill.
