So you got upset because you think CTWD should have done something about the seat move , now you are talking about the tail wagging the dog The club was at fault about the seat move no idea why you have this thing about CTWD unless they rejected you for a comittee position or something No idea how you can be a mod on here either , never heard anybody whine as much as you
All the north stand should be for home fans E1 to E4 should be for away fans Not a popular opinion I know that . Would love it if the top half was all safe standing
I didn't expect CTWD to stop the seat move, but there was plenty a fans group could and should have done during the transition. What some actually did was try to obstruct those left fending as individuals. Some didn't feel able to ask for help on here because of the reaction from some individuals. It's not whining, it's constructive comment and observation on misleading and hypocritical statements from others
It's madness to expect an organisation that's lost most of it's founding members to elect a new committee and immediately be able to address all issues affecting fans, particularly when they were taking a well earned breather having put an enormous amount of time and effort into a campaign group.
Clearly it was. Perhaps a message at the time explaining that rather than patronising, conflicting and hypocritical comments could have helped those left to their own devices? Perhaps some of those affected could have stepped up and co-ordinated things, with minimal involvement from the committee, if only the effort had been made when people asked. It could have taken less time than pithy message board exchanges and could have been an experience for the new members on the committee that weren't involved in the other issue.
It's exactly what I said at the time and there was absolutely nothing pithy about my responses, it's only after you refused to accept what I was saying and started posting personal nonsense about me being on an ego trip and completely misrepresenting what I'd said that I got pithy. Apologies to those who suffered reading all that bollocks yesterday.
Welcome to the Pot and Kettle Club. Not too serious a comment, that, but the point is made and nobody is gaining anything other than pithy returns.
What did you expect fans groups to do ? Do you mean CTWD and/or the OSC ? What other fans groups are there ? You tend to talk in riddles as if you know things which you don't want to disclose to us mere mortals If this is personal between you and OLM then you should keep it personal and off here
I don't think it's me with the issues here. It's hardly likely to be the OSC as this clearly isn't what they're for, and the others have merged, so there should't be any confusion as to who is meant. I have no personal issues with anyone on here. I don't know OLM so couldn't have any with him, although from his responses, he seems to have some with me, but they're his issues. I'm more interested in these mistakes being learned from and not repeated. What I expected, or rather hoped, was that a fans collective could approach the club to assist with the transition. As it was, a lot of club time was taken up dealing with several individual groups over the same issues. A simple point of contact could have lifted that burden, so the issues predicted and now arising could have been mitigated for prior to the turnstiles opening. I see that as positive, but it seems others were determined that we'd need to struggle to get there. The commitment from the fans group would have been minimal as people were willing to help each other. It needed help with central co-ordination, that's about all. I've no idea why that simple way of helping a situation seems to create the reaction it has. I see nothing but positives from it.
Just to be clear, Dutch doesn't think it's him with the issues here. Comedy Gold. keep digging Dutch, stand your ground lad. Don't be scared to be in a minority.
As constructive a contribution as ever. Interesting to see who thinks helping fellow fans and the club is somehow a negative thing. Am I missing the bit of what I suggested that's to someone else's detriment, as I can only see positives from it?
I expected CTWD to say they thought the fans affected (including E4 and E5) should have been consulted before the decision was made. I expected CTWD to say something about the short notice and to try and make arrangements for fans to find seats in the North Stand, the East Stand or even the West Stand. I want CTWD to become a successful supporters trust that speaks up for fans. The allocation of E1 to E3 left a group of fans unhappy, something a campaigning supporters trust should be interested in. The timing wasn't brilliant and I accept that there was a certain amount of tiredness after the season we had, but you cannot always choose your battles. Someone may be inclined to say but it wasn't a battle, it's a good idea. I'm sure they won't because, in my view, a supporters trust should have a place for all supporters, even if they are a minority. Trying to make suitable arrangements for those affected does not mean you have to oppose the decision but ensure that, as far as possible supporters are given an "acceptable" second best. I feel this discussion is more about scoring points against DMD then about looking at the issues, deciding whether mistakes were made, and if so, making sure they don't happen again. The fans of this club need a strong voice and CTWD can become that voice. I feel they missed an opportunity by keeping silent..
