Official match-y thread-y thing. I'm waiting til I see a time line up before I do a prediction. Maribor are good on the break - think we'll need to score at least two, depends on whether we go with Deila's pro evo preset slot 1 (4-3-3, sideways movement, keep the ball shifting around, runs from midfield) or his pro evo preset slot 2 (4-5-1, two shielding midfielders like we did in Slovenia). I think he'll go with the fomer and go for goals but he might surprise everyone by using preset slot 2 aiming for a 1-0 (risky, I think). Either way, I'm getting slightly blotto before the game and intend making a racket. Mon the good ghuys.
Early on I expect Maribor to sit in and we just need to see where they leave space and try and exploit it. We should chase anything and should leave plenty players back. If nothing happens goal wise we should be able to pick them off as they push forward late in the game. Hold the ball high up the pitch don't take risks in own half (Ambrose) and be patient.

We'll fly out the traps and try and batter them for the first 10 minutes as they sit back and try to break on the odd occasion. It'll be tense stuff but we'll end up getting a goal just before half time but maybe just after. We'll then get a second and it'll look like the tie is deid but Maribor will grab one around the 77th minute meaning it's clenched arses and toning bum muscles until we manage to hold out due to luck, poor finishing and some form of cheating. Then we'll get absolutely brutalized in the groups and will console ourselves by saying, "We're lucky just to be there".
I heard Craig Gordon was out. Then I heard he was back in... FFS, we're so dependant already on a guy who's injured so often. We need a keeper. Now. Zaluska is honking.
I seen a few people creaming their trunks the other night 'sold a £10m keeper, got a £9m keep for free!' - let's wait to see if the guy can stay injury free and can stop a team which doesn't have about 1/5th of our budget.
I have no idea how good Fasan is but I agree. I think the huns will refer to him as Fandan cos they have such great imaginations, you know like we can Ally, Sally.
