    Radio 2 are counting down the 100 greatest guitar riffs today with a full show dedicated to the top 30 at 2pm.

    Johnny Marr gets in with How soon is now , good choice but he could have filled out the ten .

    No real surprises in the list mind except Status Quo lol

    I was quite surprised Daytripper and Satisfaction only scraped into the top 30.

    I thought Sweet Child 'O' Mine would of been nailed on as the number 1.

    Its the BBC, they had to get the old Top of the Pops Theme in there somehow...for nostalgia

    The BBC should never play the piece on the radio. Just hearing it probably gives many of Saville's victims panic attacks.

    I'm still not 100% sure what a riff is.

    Is it chords, single notes, a solo?
