I think he'll still be with us unless someone randomly comes in for him with a fairly big bid. He has blatantly got the potential, so I think he'll get a shot in the Premiership with us. The longer he stays, too, the more adept he'll be at playing our system so you never know! Confidence is a big thing, and if he banged a few goals in early next season there's no predicting what would happen. Having said that you've got to fancy Graham to get the nod!
Agreed, however if we got a bid which would allow us to buy/loan someone else I wouldn't rule it out. Graham, Moore and even Dobbie would probably be ahead of him in the pecking order I'd imagine?
No doubt he is at least fourth choice, I'd stick Sinclair up there in front of him too. but he does offer the size option that none of the other backups do.
Yeah I thought that, but Graham is probably about as big as him to be fair, and looks an infinitely better finisher. Wait and see I guess, I do quite like Beattie but for the amount of game time I imagine he's going to get, he's probably on quite big wages for our structure.
Graham is first choice though, I meant of the backups. He is on bigger wages than most but anyone we bring in now will be on more :/
Yeah good point. I've seen some reports saying Sturridge has been subject to 4 and 5million pound bids... if there's any semblence of truth in that we should throw our name into the ring on that too, but I very much doubt they'd let him go for anything less than about 8 million or so with a honky sell on clause!
Also been reported that Chelsea quoted £20m for him. Can't see them wanting to sell him at all considering how well he did at Bolton. I reckon he'll get a decent number of games this year, albeit more than likely in a wide role.
