Well, we bought plenty. Strengthened in most of the areas we needed to and while you can't replace "he who shall not be named" like for like, we got a striker that can score goals in the PL. Now it's down the players and coaches to integrate the new guys as quickly as possible. Happy with that window.
+1 Very happy with the mix of players we've got in this Window, apart from Lambert, all are 26 or under, building for the now and future! All provide good squad depth.. Next few window's would like to see only 1 quality player added per window, if needed or more importantly, if found.. no need for anymore mass imports!
I think its great that Lambert has made a positive impact in both games so far. He is already showing us why he was signed. Good. I see no need to panic after the City game. They are the strongest team and the season is young. I think we have done really quite well this window.
MUFC vs LFC comparison Di Maria £60m vs Markovic £20 + Balotelli £16m + Lambert £4m + Can £10m + Origi £10 Herrera £29m vs Lallana £25m Shaw £27m vs Moreno £12m Rojo £16m vs Lovren £20m £132m (net £124m) vs £117m (net £38m) I think we've owned this window. A backup keeper would be the cherry on top. Man Utd thinking Di Maria will be their saviour is hilarious. He's an even more expensive Mata who tracks back even less. The worst part is if he ever shins one in that horrific finger-heart celebration will be back in the PL. Di Maria also loves to stick his tongue out Nani-style. Ugh.
We spent about the same money but it highlights the difference in quality our manager, history and recent success (including CL) affords us in the transfer market #bigclub
Liverpool are looking to follow up the signing of former Manchester City star Mario Balotelli from AC Milan with a move for Israeli prodigy Michael Ohana. The attacking midfielder is currently enjoying a trial with the Reds with a view to a permanent move, and will link up with the development squad if he is successful. Ohana, who plies his trade for FC Ashdod, has been tipped to emulate former Liverpool star Yossi Benayoun due to his prowess behind the striker and out on the flanks. If signed by Brendan Rodgers, the 18-year-old will become the ninth player to make the move to Anfield this summer following Balotelli's £16million switch from the Serie A. ------------------- so no truth in this rhc, or you talking from a first team impact type thing?
You've signed half of Southamptons first team and a basket case. You've not been able to land a single 'big name' player to replace Suarez. Cavanni, Falcao, Benzema, Sanchez, Reus and Isco, were the kind of names you were throwing about earlier in the summer and you've ended up with Barmpot Balotelli and Big Lambo.
A replacement for Suarez doesn't exist which is why we decided to be flexible and look to strengthen the squad in another way. That's the benefit of a manager who isn't so frozen in one formation and way of playing he has to fill out his teamsheet with Young as a wingback You were linked with Hummels and got Rojo Your club has embarassed itself for 3 windows now with Woodward inviting a constant stream of rejections until finally you reach the end of the window and throw way way way over the odds money at Fellaini/Mata/Di Maria just to cover your incompetence and shame. Well it doesn't work and we can all see what you are doing edit: oh sorry, you're not a Manc, you're #neutral please log in to view this image
3 players ffs, and one of them is a backup. so now he is our player ballo isnt a big name? probably because they wanted silly wages and sanchez wanted to move to london, **** happens, and has already been said our recent history is ****e and maybe players are waiting until we are regulars or more consistent again in the cl before we can get the players who want silly wages, not that i want them, as if that is the only reason for signing for clubs now days **** em.
