Michael's son?! Be great if he can have the same impact as the last Robinson signed from Liverpool. ~ QPR close to signing Liverpool defender Jack Robinson to solve the club's left-back problem. Merseyside lad Robinson has been at Anfield for all of his career but has been told his first-team chances are limited with the arrival of Alberto Moreno Harry Redknapp is signing Liverpool left back Jack Robinson to solve one of Premier League new boys QPR's problem positions. Redknapp agreed a deal worth around £1 million for the Kop kid and former England under-21 cap who headed for London to finalise the move. Local lad Robinson has been at Anfield for all of his career but has been told his first-team chances are limited with the arrival of Spaniard Alberto Moreno. Robinson is jumping at a top-flight lifeline with Rangers who have struggled in that position since Benoit Assou-Ekottou left and want a full-time solution. The young defender played on loan for Blackpool at Championship level, but proved he can live in the Premier on a handful of occasions for Liverpool. Redknapp is acting fast to fill the gaps in his team and the fee is well within his rage and leaves him cash for other troublesome areas. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/qpr-close-signing-liverpool-defender-4104698
It's all over Twatter! (From the reliable Mirror) http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/qpr-close-signing-liverpool-defender-4104698
I've never heard of him!!! Sure he will be brilliant though!!! Don't we already have 3 left backs called Hill, Yun and Traore!?!? Is this panic buying or what!!! Redknapp was on about a striker and midfielders last week!!!! Don't believe it.
I thought that playing 352 one doesn't have full backs.......besides isn't YSY a left back apart from the impression we have that Harold doesn't rate him.....
Didn't he get two reds while at Blackpool under Paul Ince? Not sure he's any good. On a positive note the scousers we have are at least giving their all for the club.
And he is also "young". But yet another new boy, and I wonder if he's much better than what we have already got.
"waywll we're a couple short" "need some more bodies. Jacky's a triffic lad" Buying more players isn't the answer.
I'm sure the prospect of having two games before being labelled a useless waster, who shows how little the club have learnt, will have him dreaming about signing on the dotted line. Still, for me it's still Hill for left CB and Yun or Traore for wing-back. I will be fuming if we've wasted the last two months on an experiment in formations that we abandon at the first sign of a tired performance.
He is under 21 so wouldnt use up a squad place if this is true and being young, could this be a player who can be developed to play on the left hand side of the three?
Why does everyone talk as if they know what is going on in Rednapp's mind? A month ago everyone was slagging him off saying he was just going to buy a load of old crocs, how did that pan out? We have one bad performance and everyone is suddenly a mind reader again. Why not just wait and see what happens ay?
