They do say that only the most resilient teams stand any chance of winning it, and we've shown remarkable resilience today.
We got the most points from losing positions last season and although I don't expect is to be in any losing positions this season it's nice to know the character is there if we were to need it.
Great to see Spurs back on top of the table after City threatened to trouble us. City and 'Pool show money can't buy you cleansheets and victories, unless that money is £4mill spent on Dier Might be worth a bid for Gerrard before deadline day, he would only get a few games here and there but he deserves to win a PL title before he retires, I don't think Rodgers will stand in his way.
That's a good call, actually. Even the Mousers will agree that Gerrard deserves a couple of champagne seasons at Spurs, after such long service at 'Pool.

Everyone made a big deal about the top 4 after one game being the top 4 at the end of the season. Well guess what? The league table after TWO games is TWICE as accurate as that table. That can only mean one thing..... When is the parade?
A new manager often breathes new life into a team at the very start of the season but then most fall away and tradition comes back to that club. I am not getting carried away by our start because I said it would happen after such a good finish last season so I'm not surprised by it. I do expect us not to maintain this pace but to fall away a little and then regain form.
