Yes, a good point. Hypothetical, but most likely implausible. I wasn't there, but I don't think I get as incensed by stuff like that to the same extent as others do, so I have to confess to some apathy on the subject. It's clearly not quite the same thing, of course, but it calls to my mind (at least) the habit of players to not celebrate goals scored against their former clubs. A fan might be excused for criticising a player for lacking passion for his current employers and showing his former club too much respect, but of course we don't because we understand why the player behaves in that way, plus we've just scored so we're arguably happy and therefore the more forgiving.
