    I don't think Gerrard has ever done that well from corners... Freekicks yes excellent fk taker, I've been puzzled with SG has taken most of our corners the past decade though... is everyone else that bad.

    When your hands are up by your face it's an unnatural position which these days is a free kick <ok>

    His "lounge" caught Allen on the foot which you saw by Allen hobbling away.

    I think it was a good block, but if a player dived in like that in the middle of the pitch you could well be seeing a red card.
